Katelyn and Cody have been here multiple times, and would love to have others join them on another trip to a baseball game. Their favorite place to sit is the bleachers out in left field! Make sure to try their Secret Stadium Sauce! (Let Katelyn & Cody know if you are interested in going to a Rockies vs Brewers game as they are too! Still TBD by MLB if these games will be played)

About the closest to "hiking" you can find in Northern Illinois, this state park offers wide paths to take a stroll through the rolling prairies of McHenry. These trails offer views of the local dam, the famous Fox River, and even wildlife like deer, turtles, and a variety of birds. Katelyn and Cody have enjoyed many bike rides through the years and always find themselves coming back.
Want to relive all the famous vehicles from the movies and hot rods through the years? Or do some shopping in an antique mall that seems to go on forever? This has become one of Katelyn and Cody's newer hobbies, as they explore what everyday items people used in the past and also relive memories from their childhood.
Green street is the heart of McHenry, with the local shops, a remodeled movie theater, and plenty of places to eat. It is also holds a lot of history for Katelyn and Cody, as it not only has the high school they met in nearby, but also the scenic riverwalk that Cody asked out Katelyn for the first time.
Heading down to explore if it truly is windy in the "Windy City"? It is recommended to take a Metra train down to the city on weekends, as it is free to park at the train station and is cheaper train fare. The top photography/tourist locations consist of Cloud Gate (a.k.a. The Bean), Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, Grant Park, Sears Tower (a.k.a. Willis Tower, but no one calls it that), Michigan Avenue, and much more. Just make sure to plan accordingly to catch a train back!
Do you miss the classic diner feel to a restaurant? Do you wonder if affordable, but quality restaurants still exist? This is a staple of the Rowlett family weekends, a great place to enjoy a nice meal with friends and family in a quiet environment. So many memories and stories shared here every Saturday evening between Cody, Katelyn, and her family.
