The Wedding Website of Alex Attanasio and John Furlong
Meet our friends and family who will walk down the aisle with us! (In no particular order.)

Alex Attanasio

Bride

Alex is so excited to be marrying John! They currently live together on Long Island with their cat, Andy. Alex works as a Resident Director at Hofstra University. She loves Broadway, playing the piano, and exploring NYC!

John Furlong

Groom

John is thrilled to marry his best friend and Amazing Race teammate. John has been living in New York for 9 years and works at NBC Sports. He loves cooking, horse racing, and the Dolphins!

Alaina Attanasio

Maid of Honor

My sister who I share more with than just a last name - my closest friend and the only one I've known since her birth! Alaina graduated from University of Rochester in 2021 and is now pursuing her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University in Indiana!

Alex Smithline

Best Man

Smithline was my neighbor/“cousin” growing up. Playing games like Mario Kart, Mario baseball, and Marble Blast was how we spent our time. He’s also Jewish, in case he hasn’t told you already.

Allie Furlong

Bridesmaid

Allie is such a special person to both John and Alex. She is one of the most resilient, driven, and talented women in our lives. John and Allie grew up in Somers, CT where Allie quickly discovered her love of performing arts. She moved down to Florida, went to Rollins College for her degree in Theater and is now pursuing her acting career in the Big Apple and living in Brooklyn with her partner, Bailey! You may even see her grace a stage or screen near you in the very near future!

Bailey Muckel

Groomsman

The best partner my sister could have ever asked for, and I'm honored to call him a brother! He's also pretty good at computer stuff.

Del Hauck

Bridesmaid

Del is one of my oldest childhood friends! She and I met through my mother's local community theater program, Kidz Konnection, in 2008. Since then, she has been one of the few people who I know will always be by my side no matter how much distance is between us. Del is now living in Boston, MA and working as a Crisis Clinician and Licensed Social Worker!

Jackson Heil

Groomsman

We met at Fordham's radio station and hit it off instantly, especially since we both root for terrible sports teams (him: Orioles, me: Dolphins). He's also really good at golf.

Cat Pease

Bridesmaid

Cat and I lived together as roommates in grad school at the University of Maine. A few months after she moved in, I fostered a litter of kittens - one of which Cat adopted and named Thumbs! Cat and I spent countless nights writing term papers and memorizing student development theory in our cozy Orono apartment. Now she is working as the Coordinator for Student Organization Success at the University of New Hampshire and Thumbs is living his best life as a true Mainer cat!

Ryan Durkin

Groomsman

We grew up as “cousins” and he copied me and my fiancee by attending Loomis Chaffee for high school. He’s also good at pole vaulting.

Kaitlyn Weis

Bridesmaid

Kaitlyn and I first met in 2019 through a friend of a friend. When the pandemic began, she proved that she would always be there through highs and lows, whether I was near or far! Now she is my go-to girl for spontaneous nights out in NYC! Since moving here from Indiana, Kaitlyn has been killing it in the world of New York fashion design!

Emmanuel Berbari

Groomsman

“E-man” and I met at Fordham’s radio station, WFUV. A future star in the sports media industry, try to meet him before he gets too famous! Per Emmanuel - "I know John from some great times at Fordham both on and off the field - if the field is a radio station!"

Mollie Richter

Bridesmaid

Mollie and I met in high school and got close through our mutual love of and involvement in theater. After 3 years of Loomis Chaffee plays and musicals together, we both ended up at Elon University where we lived together as roommates! Now, after completing both of her Master's Degrees in the UK, Mollie lives and works in London England doing Talent Management!

Bryan Bushey

Groomsman

We grew up as “cousins” and he copied me by becoming a fan of Formula 1. He’s also good at running track.

Ciro Falanga

Usher

Ciro grew up next-door to the Attanasio family and has been in our lives since his birth. Ciro is more like a sibling or cousin to Alex than a neighbor. His contagious smile and laugh always brightens a room. We couldn't imagine our big day without Ciro's presence. To add to the reasons to celebrate, Ciro turns 21 when the clock strikes midnight ringing in his birthday, January 1st!

Robert Furlong

Usher

John's brother Bert is such a kind and caring person. It's hard to believe that he is already 20 years old, but it has been so incredible to see him grow and mature into the hard-working, generous person he is today. Bert is currently living in Daytona Beach Florida with his family and dog, Jojo. We are so excited to have him in our wedding and can't wait to see where his future takes him!

Laura Attanasio

Mother of the Bride

Not only is Laura my mother, but she is also a constant inspiration for how I live my life. She is the woman who raised me to be both compassionate and strong. She taught me how to rise up through failure, using it as a learning experience rather than a mark of defeat. She showed me what it looks like to follow your dreams and make them a reality. Many will tell you that Laura has two children, but the truth is that she has three - Alex, Alaina, and Kidz Konnection, her non-profit theater company that she founded over 10 years ago. Now, her company produces over 10 shows a year and she still makes time to dote on her two cats, Keys and Triste, and satisfy her wanderlust with the occasional experience abroad!

Susan Furlong

Mother of the Groom

I could write a 50-page paper on how much I love my Mom. But this site has a character limit. So I'll say this - Mom, you're an incredible woman and I cannot thank you enough for all the love, advice, and support you've given me in my life. I've been so lucky to be your son. In case you're wondering what she does on a daily basis...she's soaking up the sun at Daytona Beach!

Dan Attanasio

Father of the Bride

I owe so much of who I am to my father. Ever since I was young, he went out of his way to instill in me that girls are just as smart, capable, and driven as boys. Despite his best efforts to get me excited about a career in STEM, I still ended up in a helping field closer to the social sciences. My dad supported me in everything I did from day 1. He spent 4 years driving me to school, over an hour away from our home, Mondays through Saturdays, and never complained when I accepted parts in the musicals that kept me on campus until 10 or 11 at night. He taught me the importance of financial stability and provided me with the building blocks to be successful in my academic, professional, and personal lives through and past grad school. Now Dan spends his free time crushing his opponents in foosball, getting stunning birds-eye footage of Clinton with his drone, and traveling the world with Laura!

Jim Furlong

Father of the Groom

When I was in second grade, my teacher asked the entire class to write a few sentences on who their “hero” was. Most of the boys chose sports stars - since I grew up in New England, Tom Brady was a popular choice. But I chose someone different. I chose my dad. And why wouldn’t I choose him? I was obsessed with sports at that age, and my dad was the one who introduced me to them. Over 20 years later, I’m still obsessed with sports. So much so, that I’ve decided to make it my career. So thank you, dad. And thank you for all of the support you’ve given me at every stage of my life - during the highs, and especially during the lows. I cannot thank you enough. I am who I am because of you.

David Rottman

Officiant

Alex's grandfather, David Rottman, has been such a strong and loving presence in our lives. Grandpa David lives in Richmond Virginia with his husband, Bob Winsor, and their dog. Grandpa David and Grandpa Bob have traveled to every continent on the planet and are always looking for new adventures! Alex and John are honored that David will be performing this special role.
