Scott's is an area full of microbreweries and restaurants. Most all of them are walkable and just a few blocks away from each other. We will include some of our favorites below, but we HIGHLY recommend checking this area out. (Brittany lived in this area of Richmond for 4 years prior to relocating to Delaware). Carytown is a walkable shopping and dining experience. You will find plenty of unique stores and restaurants. We recommend popping in to "Mongrel" for unique knick-knacks and gifts, then stoping by "Can Can" for something to eat (reservations may be needed unless you are planning to sit at the bar).
VMFA is a great way to experience a wide array of art. Admission is free except for special visiting exhibits. We also recommend stopping by on Friday happy hours on the lawn if you have the availability, it is one of our favorite things to do! Wine and beer is sold for a special happy hour price. You can grab a bottle and enjoy it on the lawn!
Richmond is full of unique coffee shops but we highly recommend this one. Brittany's favorite is an iced vanilla latte, however, if in season, they have a coconut oat milk latte that is to die for.
The canal walk is a nice stroll down Richmond's James River. If we walk far enough you'll stumble upon some graffiti artwork by local artists. Directly across the canal from there is Casa Del Marco, a Richmond restaurant with great margs and tacos.
