The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30. We please ask that you be seated before this time. Guests will be able to arrive as early as 5:00. Please plan accordingly if you are taking Lyft or Uber, we would say to allow 30 min to get to Mankin Mansion from the Courtyard in Scotts Addition. Additionally, it is about a 5 min walk from the parking lot to where the ceremony will be taking place in the garden.
Cocktail/Formal. Here is a link to what we are looking for. Groom and groomsmen will not be in tuxedo's. https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained#toc-formal-or-black-tie-optional
Travel accommodations and details can be found under the "Travel" tab on our website. We are so happy you came to celebrate us!
Mankin Mansion- 4300 Oakleys Ln Richmond, VA 23223. When looking the venue up on Uber or Lyft it may appear as "Historic Mankin Mansion Bed & Breakfast".
Sage Green.
There is a shuttle provided from the Sheraton Hotel located near the airport. We have reserved a room block here. The Courtyard by Marriott will not have a shuttle provided- please allow yourself 30 min to get to the venue from this location.
As we mentioned, dinner will be served family style with a variety of options. If you are vegan, vegetarian, have allergies, or any other restrictions that we should know about - please reach out directly to Ted or Brittany. No one will go hungry, we promise. Ted loves large portions too much.
We're both praying for great weather. But yes, alcohol will be served- drink responsibly. The bride's signature cocktail will be an Aperol spritz and the groom's signature cocktail will be an old fashioned.
The ceremony is outdoors. The reception is going to be in a weather and temperature-controlled tent. In the event of rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved inside.
We would recommend pre-gaming the trip with allergy meds if you are sensitive to the pollen. Richmond has many beautiful blooms this time of year which means the pollen can sometimes be high (Ted edit: a car left overnight will have a yellow layer of pollen by morning). Weather ranges from a high of mid 70's-80's and a low of mid 50's-60's.
The bride, groom, wedding party, and family will be at MainLine Brewery on Friday, 5/10, from 6 pm-8 pm. We would love for out of town guests, or local guests, to stop by, say hi, and hang out if they have the time! The address can be found under the "Schedule" section.
