About this venue

UNION is Kansas City’s most versatile, multi-level event venue. It was designed with every detail in mind to seamlessly host a variety of events. Its vibrant, raw and industrial elements create a stunning ambiance that needs very little, if any, decor. UNION's three floors of event space can each seat up to 200 guests, plus our fully-furnished Speakeasy can accommodate 100 for a cocktail-style reception. UNION offers flexible rentals, including 24-hour, multi-day and hourly, the freedom to choose your own vendors, tables and chairs, complimentary wifi and is pet-friendly.

    We were thrilled with our venue, Union. Throughout the planning process, they communicated with us consistently and clearly about all logistics, which helped make this stressful time so much smoother. On the day-of, Union really shined. Even when a key vendor failed to deliver, they immediately stepped in to solve the issue, taking me to their warehouse to find beautiful replacement flowers. For couples seeking a dedicated, talented venue to bring your wedding vision to life, we wholeheartedly recommend Union.

    I cannot rave about UNION enough. They were amazing and it was the perfect place to get married. The responsive, helpful, and friendly staff always responded to my emails in a timely manner, and made sure to answer any questions we had. They also had great recommendations and helped make the planning process so easy. They are in a great location, and can really make your dream wedding become a reality. Vibes were 10/10!

    They presented themselves to us as a very hands off venue… this was not the case. The manager threatened to cancel our contract 2 weeks before the wedding because we weren’t emailing them back when we had been, her assistant just got to the email first. One of the big reasons We chose the venue was because they weren’t going to make us have security, 3 months before the wedding we were informed they were now requiring an armed guard in uniform. There was a lot of stuff like that, that added up and made it irritating but all in all really pretty and day of everything was smooth

We definitely love and encourage our clients to bring their vision and event design to life within the venue; on our end, we just need to make sure we have essential event details so that we are all set up for success, such as timeline and final layout decisions. And while security is not required for all events, certain event details can trigger the necessity to have a security presence onsite to follow local regulations.     We held our welcome dinner for all our guests at UNION and it was a great location and we loved working with them! It’s a huge space and there are so many options of what you can do with the different floors. We especially loved they had the speakeasy as an option. They were also very reasonably priced!
