Motor City HDJ started in 1999 as a way to pay for college. The more of my friends' weddings I attended, the more I realized how many bad DJs are out there in the world. I decided at that point I was going to be the "anti-DJ," committing myself to do the opposite of the things that bad DJs do.

He was the sound engineer for the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons games, an engineer for WYCD- Detroit Country, and WJLB Hip hop and R&B in Detroit. He met his wife Erin while she was a promotions and event coordinator for WYCD’s Taylor Swift Fearless Experience. Erin has over 25 years of professional event and marketing experience in various industries but most prominently on Broadway. Together they can make your wedding sound beautiful and handle all other event needs that you have. Erin is even an officiant!

By the time she was three years old, Olivia Claggett was asking for a harp teacher. At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.
