The Wagner House, located in the historic Wagner Print Building, is a three-story industrial warehouse in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The building was built in 1903 and was one of the first buildings that had electricity in Freeport. Established in 1853 and incorporated on March 9, 1912, the Wagner Building was home to the German-born Wagner Family who, like Freeport, has a long and interesting history. The Wagner House also served as an industrial manufacturing spot for textiles and fashion. For four generations, the business did not change hands, and the present Wagner company pledged to continue their record of quality printing and letterpress and are still in business today. In 2013, The Wagner building was sold to Bill Green to redevelop and re-imagine it, creating a wine bar, business incubator, and beautiful event space.

“We fell in love with 10 South when we attended a wedding a few months before getting engaged. When we went to tour, it was truly love at first sight and we booked our wedding day, that very moment. The exposed brick throughout the venue and the bride and groom suites are what really sold us! The size is also perfect, whether it’s a smaller guest count or large! They made the touring experience so special, we each got to pick one drink from their specialty cocktails. And it was very personable. We ended up booking one of the coordinator packages, which got us a couple meetings and had the same experience during those as well. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and would recommend vendors that we were still needing. We worked with Megan and she made the whole process so easy! Communication was great and emails were always responded to in a very timely manner. Our wedding day went so smoothly, even with the power going out (power outage in the area) 20ish minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle. Luckily it was back up and running just seconds before it was go time, so no delays! I should add, with the coordinator package, the staff set up and took down all of our decorations for us, which was a huge stress reliever. Megan and the staff brought my vision to life! I can’t recommend 10 South enough!”

“When my (now) husband and I got engaged, soon the reality set in that I was now to become a full time wedding planner. The first thing that came to mind was an outdoor country club wedding. (My favorite part being the neutral carpet, no one wants bright red or blue carpet in your wedding pictures.) The building's integrity has remained intact, simply allowing for updated paint and decoration. An incredibly versatile space for intimate events, bridal suite, showers, rehearsal dinners, photography, media stages, video, and meetings.
