First off just like that, the day got a whole lot better now that you are here! But let’s get one thing straight: if you are here, I want you to feel free to be YOU! Being true to who you are makes this process a hell of a lot easier! This is a judgment-free free safe space, and I want you to be as comfortable as humanly possible! Now that’s out the way, I'm Jovan Kiah, specializing in wedding and portrait photography located somewhere in the cornfields of Indiana. But always prepared for a photography adventure, I’m already packed with a suitcase of snacks, my passport, & playlist that spans from Disney musicals to '90s R&B hits.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jovan was absolutely amazing to work with. On our calls before the big day, she was always happy and excited and answered all of our questions and it gave us such a sense of ease. I never once had to worry and stress about photos. Day of the wedding, she completely killed it. She was still her happy self but was able to organize us and snap some amazing photos. She worked with me on some odd family and friend dynamics and eliminated any worries I had. She did a fantastic job of catching the perfect small moments, some of which I didn’t even know she was capturing. The photos are all so naturally beautiful and I can’t even begin to describe how much we love them. They are clean and bright and show us, our personalities, and our people perfectly. 100% the best decision we made.

Authentic moments are what set our hearts on fire! We strive to capture you exactly as you are and bring out your personality. Think of us as your best friends that you haven't gotten to meet yet - we are known for dancing with our couples at receptions, snuggling babies to get a few solo pictures of the parents, and becoming lifelong friends with our seniors. We cannot wait to meet you!

Awarded Best of Zola
TL;DR: 15/10 -- She simplifies EVERYTHING about wedding planning AND takes the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. She will be taking our pictures for the rest of our lives. They are incredible. Kyra from beginning to end made everything absolute perfection. The pictures, my sanity, basically everything. We brought her to Crozet, VA for our engagement photos and our big day. Pre-Engagement get to know you session: We face-timed for 2.5 hours (not required just happened naturally). She cares about everything and anything you want to share and supports your vision. Engagement Session: She took the time (right after having a baby nonetheless) to come to us and make sure we were happy and comfortable in every way. Kyra got to know Dan (my husband) better and is the only person to this day that can make him smile naturally for pictures. Planning: Kyra provided anything and everything I needed or didn't know I needed. Refined/recommended timelines, pictures, hair styles, dresses, snacks for getting ready, laughter, you name it, she did it. If I had another vendor I needed a second opinion on, she reviewed their work. If I wasn't sure on chicken or crab cakes, she knew what would be a crowd pleaser. Basically she had wisdom and advice well beyond her years to accompany her incredible talent. Weekend of: Kyra and Heather came out early and scoped out the best locations for everything indoors and outside at the exact time the ceremony would be held to make sure the lighting was perfect. Day of: I would have fallen apart without her. Every picture she took was of real, candid, happy moments that my brain was too stressed to miss. When I ripped my dress, she and Heather whipped out sewing scissors to fix the problem. They kept the train moving and captured every moment beautifully. Best to have a photographer dancing with y'all to get the moment just right, and she does that. If I could give more stars I would.

Hey there, I am so happy you are here. A GIRL WITH A DREAMI am a big time lover of love, Jesus, and traveling the world - but you can just call me Hailey. Based in ATL, Im a full time wedding photographer. Im always down for an adventure. When I'm not behind a camera, you can find me on zooming off on a hike with my husband or chatting someone's ear off about my latest podcast obsession. I am here for all the coffee, hugs, & candids. ohh and my Cat hehe

Awarded Best of Zola
I chose Hailey from the moment we had our initial call to talk through her services. She listened so well to our wedding vision & asked thoughtful questions. We were forgoing a wedding coordinator & other “extras.” Hailey was still excited to take us on as clients which some photographers would not have. I was ready to confirm during the call with how supportive and excited she sounded about our day. From this call, she sent over her proposal for cost & information very quickly. She was responsive via text & email to any questions we had. Closer to the date, she sent over a questionnaire so she could be prepared with the photos we wanted. It also included tips & guidance on making sure the experience is smooth. This was super helpful. During the wedding, I was blown away by her and her second shooter. She was decisive when we needed someone to make a decision, supportive to me as a bride, went above and beyond to handle any last minute changes or hiccups with grace. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken. She made it sooo easy and fun! The photos are sooo creative and I continue to pinch myself that they are ours! Wow! Here’s where she deserves to be shouted from the rooftops: We scheduled a hike we wanted photographed to a waterfall on site at the venue (our venue at Hawkesdene in NC lodges all guests for 2 nights). The venue shared it was 1 mile in/out and not difficult. Well it HAILED the night before and rained all night so the path was flooded and muddy. We had to decide to forge ahead or cancel. She without hesitation was ready to forge ahead, ruining her shoes, to ensure we could still have our hike documented with our guests. She encouraged me along the way and I am so grateful because the photos are just incredible. Anyone would be truly lucky to have Hailey capture their wedding. This review doesn’t do her or her skills justice. I will forever cheer her on & can’t wait to find an opportunity to work with her again in the future.

Kyle Carnes Photography

Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

My (now) husband and I found Kyle through a random google search, and I cannot believe how lucky we got. In our first meeting with Kyle, he showed us beautiful examples of his work, and his professionalism and skill was immediately apparent. We had not planned to do an engagement shoot, but his work was so beautiful that we decided to go for it - and I’m grateful we did. It helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera, and with Kyle. Even our dog liked him :) On the day of our wedding, a huge snow storm hit unexpectedly, and we were scared no one would show. Not only did Kyle show up, but he made what could have been a disaster into a gift, taking some beautiful shots in the cold :) His photography from the wedding is a gift I will treasure for the rest of my life. His portraits of us, family pictures, and candid shots, were all stunning. We wed in a venue with low lighting, and Kyle worked wonderfully with it. We also ordered a beautiful wedding album from him. I could not recommend Kyle enough!

New Era Wedding Photography

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,250
  • Serves Wilson Creek, WA for additional fees

We're a dynamic team of two who are passionate about capturing every magical moment of your special day. From the first glance to the final kiss, we're dedicated to immortalizing the joy, love, and laughter that fills the air on your wedding day. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for storytelling, we strive to create timeless images and films that you'll cherish for a lifetime. But it's not just about the shots we take- it's about the connections we make. We believe that the best memories are made when you're having fun, and that's why we're committed to capturing those moments that will last a lifetime!

Booking New Era Photography was the easiest and best decision my husband and I made for our elopement. Elsie is ("is" -present tense, because she still is even after providing outstanding service) extremely easy to reach and talk to. She had asked us to create a pinterest board when we booked her and months later, on our elopement day, she is diligently referencing the board and ensuring we get the shots we wanted. To be honest, the adrenaline of the big day (and lack of a full meal) had my mind up in the clouds, so looking back I am SO grateful Elsie was on it. Additionally, she is just the kindest person ever! She made us feel so comfortable and confident in our "poses". She also got sneak peaks over to us even earlier than she had quoted; and there wasn't one I didn't like. Look no further - New Era Photography is what you need!

Silvia Gilbert Photography

I am a caffeine addict who never sleeps. I love a good thunderstorm and playing Candy Crush for the brain breaks. I adore all kinds of dogs, but I have a special love for German Shepherds. My all-time favorite thing is to sit by the fire with a glass of good cabernet or watch the ocean waves hit the beach. I love to garden and to build things (but I let my husband to finish all my projects LOL). I enjoy good food and will likely refer to a stand up comedy routine at least once in a conversation. I am also a football mom, lacrosse mom and basketball mom. Wife to a very understanding husband and emotional support person for my big puppies.

Our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and much of that was thanks to our incredible photographer, Silvia. From our first meeting, her calm demeanor and positive outlook put us at ease. Silvia has a unique ability to blend into the background, capturing candid moments that truly reflect the joy and love of the day. Her calm presence was a soothing force during the hustle and bustle, making us feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera. Every photo she took is a testament to her talent and passion for her work. Silvia didn’t just take pictures; she told our love story through her lens, and for that, we are forever grateful. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture our special day.

Lots of decisions are made leading up to your wedding day, and choosing Kaylyn to photograph my wedding was one of the best decisions I made in this process. I stumbled upon Kaylyn’s Instagram when searching for wedding photographers and loved the aesthetic of her photos. Our photos turned out better than I could have hoped for, Kaylyn has such an eye for capturing posed and candid moments, but what meant the most to me was how thorough she was in making sure we got all the shots we wanted to on our big day, even with a last minute Venue change and a lot less time than truly needed to get all those shots, she still made it happen and was a calming force in what felt like a chaotic day due to all the last minute changes. Any person could have let the stress of that day affect their work and I would not have blamed her if it did, but Kaylyn went above and beyond and never flinched at anything unexpected thrown at her that day. We also did a day after photoshoot with our dogs and somehow she got those rambunctious boys to look at the camera! Thank you Kaylyn and if you’re trying to decide on a photographer, look no further!

I cannot recommend Amanda/Salt Ivy Photography enough. When choosing a photographer for our wedding and for our post-wedding mountaintop shoot (instead of an engagement photoshoot), we wanted a photographer who had a unique artistic vision who produced dynamic and emotional shots. We wanted photography that really stood out and was not the run of the mill wedding photography. Most of all, we wanted photography that captured the authentic emotional connection we have and the incredible energy of our big day. When I saw Amanda's work, I knew she was the one. Not only was her work absolutely STUNNING, but she was incredible to work with. We had to change our wedding date 3 total times due to Covid... and even moved it out of state halfway through... Amanda was always flexible, understanding, accommodating and encouraging. The day of the wedding she was calm, loving, fun, and her energy really made the day even more special. Our post-wedding hike/photoshoot the next day was one of the most enjoyable parts of our entire wedding experience. Amanda is not only a phenomenal photographer and artist, but an even better human. 10000000000000/10 recommend.
