Piney River Ranch is open and accessible from June 21st through the last Saturday in September, and is one of Colorado’s prime wedding destinations. Beneath the Gore Range, one of Colorado’s most beautiful mountain vistas, we can accommodate up to 200 people in our wedding and event space. With two custom log pavilions, and a ceremony deck that boasts mountain views guaranteed to take your breath away, it’s no wonder couples from all over the country come here to say “I do.” The ranch is complete with six guest cabins, three glamping tents and an on-site restaurant and bar as the perfect place to entertain your guests.

Piney is hands down the most spectacular wedding venue in Colorado. Everything from the amazing view to the marshmallow fire pit was perfect for our guests. They even set up a “canoe and cocktails” for our cocktail hour where our guests could take canoes out on the lake. It was an incredible experience. The coordinators, Brittany and Shoshana, are wonderful to work with. They were responsive and made the day stress free. Couldn’t recommend this venue more.

I recommend this venue to all couples looking for a rustic and timeless elegant wedding. Its open space , beautiful background settings with nature. Spacious bridal and groom suites to move and take pictures. The outside ceremony area gives you great water view pictures. The large reception hall has great tall ceilings, plenty of room for both photographers and video crew. The wedding coordinator (Adriana) very easy going and ready to help accommodate your every need. You should make this location a definite one on your list to check out.

The Ranch is a one stop shop and the staff was such a big help. The BBQ is amazing. Christina and Gary made our planning easy. At rehearsal they stepped in to make sure we were comfortable and the day of they just kept checking on us. They live and work on the property and it shows. There’s so many touches the rustic elegance and just a peaceful atmosphere. We can’t thank The Ranch and everyone that works with Christina and Gary enough. We recently got married and Lucky Spur and loved our experience! Sharie, Dakon and team made everything so easy for us. We did the weekend stay, which was important to us as most of our guests were traveling from out of state. It was so fun to have the ranch to ourselves all weekend and there was plenty to do on site. The accommodations were great and everyone had a comfortable place to stay and plenty of towels and other necessities. It was super easy to access our portal and payment plans and easy to add on the beer burros (HUGE hit) and Lonesome Spur catering (also a HUGE hit!). We loved the open houses and used them as opportunities to meet recommended vendors and try the food and was thoroughly impressed with all our vendors and the full catering menu for the weekend. I can’t say enough good things about this venue!

The back was perfect for our ceremony. It had a lot of greenery and rolling hills. I also got so many compliments on my food even after the wedding. I wish I could do it again and again. I’ll be having our 10 year wedding anniversary party there one day!!

We had one of the first weddings at this venue. First off, the backdrop of the mountain and valley is absolutely beautiful. The rustic finish of the Lodge gives it a homey feel. The pictures of the ceremony turned out fantastic with the scenery. On other items, there was plenty of parking for our guests, the suites were set up very nice for both bride and grooms parties, the vendors had an easy time making the space work, and the hosts were very accommodating.

I rented the Bullbourne Ranch for my wedding day as I fell in love when we went to tour it. The area is gorgeous, the bison are incredible, the barn was exactly what I was looking for. The venue host, Kesha, was amazing! Her communication was impeccable, she answered every question I had to throw at her or if she couldn't she would provide me with the answer within a day, she was genuinely honest, and definitely a life saver on the day of. We didn't get to meet the property owner, but we know he is an incredible, selfless person for having this property setup for venue rentals and offering his beautiful ranch house for us to get ready the day of. We are forever thankful for them and the hard work and research they did to help ensure we had an unforgettable wedding!!

Our wedding at Granby Ranch was a dream come true. The venue is simply gorgeous with its picturesque mountain views and quaint, nature-filled setting. Jennifer and her team were so responsive, thoughtful, and quick in all of our communications leading up to the big day. We felt they really listened to what we envisioned for our wedding and worked hard to make it happen. Jennifer hosted a private tasting for us to sample catering options, which was above and beyond. Camp Lucy was above and beyond in every way! The space was gorgeous, the staff was so helpful and friendly, and the experience itself was so wonderful. Our account manager Laura was always so helpful and very sweet and friendly, she helped everything go so smoothly and was super at communicating and answering all of our questions! The venue itself was beautiful and the perfect mix of outdoor-indoor spaces for our ceremony and reception. The bridal and groom suites were gorgeous, and our food and drink service that morning was wonderful. The Camp Lucy catering and bar staff were also phenomenal the entire night! We stayed on-site in one of the resort suites, and that experience was also above and beyond thanks to the lovely staff. Aside from being a beautiful venue, Camp Lucy is also a wonderful resort with really cool historical points and a great (seriously, so good!) restaurant. We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversary!

From the moment we started exploring sugarbush, everyone was communicative and transparent and felt invested in our wedding. Molly, our coordinator, kept us on track (and that’s a high compliment coming from a pretty organized and control-freak bride) and worked with us to make everything work, from managing our vendors to suggesting ideas and being flexible when things inevitably changed. The day of our wedding was beautiful but cold, and Molly and team were there every step of the way shepherding people around and making sure every guest was comfortable. One thing I will never forget is standing under the arch, shaking from the cold and from excitement in the 40 weather in my strapless dress, and Molly appearing from nowhere to hand me a wrap and a white blazer so I would be more comfortable. The venue is beautiful and there are so many places to host different parts of the wedding. Our guests loved that the weekend was a fall experience, and we felt good knowing there was plenty to do during down times. The sugarbush team is undoubtedly the best at what they do, AND they make you feel like family. We had our wedding at Grand Cascades in June 2022 and had such an amazing experience! Throughout the planning process we worked with Sarah, who was awesome all the way from planning the details, picking up the phone whenever I needed her, providing advice on anything I asked, and all the way through to the day of. She handled everything that came up with grace and kindness, even in tough family situations that arose. We chose CS Grand Cascades for a few key reasons (1) the amazing menu and presentation of the food (2) the beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour and reception spaces no matter rain or shine and (3) the value you get for your money. We also LOVED the fact that the hotel was on-site and we didn’t need to worry about transportation for ourselves or our guests throughout the day and afterwards. This provided SO many advantages, including access to the bridal suite all day and being able to take advantage of the hotel bar on-site for a causal after party without any extra cost to us. It is definitely an under-rated venue in NJ that we are SO happy we found! We were able to stick to our ideal budget while not comprising on quality of the event. I have been told by so many people how we threw the BEST wedding they’ve ever been to. The event staff is a well-oiled machine and truly think of everything to make your day the most special and seamless experience. Highly recommend to all future brides!!

Super communicative, responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and supportive through the whole thing. They helped us plan the most perfect day and made it so easy on us. Jimmy was our day-of coordinator and deserves extra praise for pivoting gracefully and adjusting the evening’s timeline flawlessly when our shuttles unfortunately were super late to arrive with our guests. The rest of the day-of team were all amazing, too. DJ Abel blew our socks off - we didn’t want typical wedding music, and he totally nailed the playlist and the vibe we were hoping for. I even had a touching moment with the security guard who pulled me aside and said he got emotional during the father/daughter dance, which was such a lovely thing for him to share. Wedgewood as an organization seems to have a very organized, structured approach to wedding planning, which I so appreciated. They were great partners and helped us have the most perfect day on one of the biggest days of our lives!

The venue was magical, out of the box (which is perfect for us), and exactly what we wanted. Why? The mountain and lake views, the cabins, the privacy, the lighting, all of it amazing, but that isn't the main reason, which is attributed to the owner's personal service: Jolene, Alyssa, & Billy. They really went above and beyond, making sure our day was special, unique, and exactly how we wanted it. They were attentive and communicative leading up to the special day, recommended amazing food vendors, facility vendors, and made our day one that we could enjoy and focus on our guests. The venue itself is amazing! Mountain views in the background of our photos of us saying "I do". The cabins! Five cabins we used to stay in, used on the day, and put up the wedding party in to stay overnight. Each having a personal touch of music, all on vinyl records (so cool). Also, the freedom to make our day special and unique. My wife and I chose where the isle went, the chairs were, the food vendors placed, tables, tents, everything went were our imagination wanted to put them. So, our wedding was bespoke, a one-off wedding that only we got to have, which means you get to use the same facility but it's going to be different than ours, so it will only be yours. Paniolo Ranch was a spetacular, private venue that was perfect for our intimate wedding! Judy went above and beyond to make suds everything was perfect on our special day. We had a small wedding of 20 guests; however, Paniolo has the capability of doing much larger weddings as well! I can not wait to come back for our 1 year anniversary!!!

The "Shiny Barn" is the perfect nickname for this spacious gathering place with clean lines, modern touches and gorgeous views from in and outside. It is very clean and well kept, so it's easy to decorate and add your own touches without having to do a lot of extra work. Hidden gem! This venue is fantastic. I hope to get to attend a wedding here just to be there again! My day was perfect and the owners were accommodating when we had to quickly change the whole timeline due to weather. They communicated quick. Let me visit the venue more than once. Answered all my questions. Worked with my coordinator and were present the day of for anything we needed. Additionally, they were very optimistic about my day despite the weather and continued telling me that it was going to be great. They were right! We couldn’t have asked for a better day, venue, and experience!

The staff at whistlin jack lodge helped cultivate the wedding I have always dreamed of. We had a small elopement ceremony with less than 10 people there. The communication from the day I toured their beautiful property all the way through to after our stay was phenomenal. I arrived to our wedding site to chairs set up, making the rest of the decorating simple. Our cabin had a beautiful flower arrangement and card making it feel very personal to us. Being that we eloped I wanted something private, the way the area is set up outside that we chose we got the most beautiful background of the river and mountain, yet it was set back enough that we got the privacy we wanted as well. I am so happy I chose to work with whistlin jack lodge and get married there. We will always have a special place in our hearts for there and the staff we worked with.

The barn was beautifully decorated (not to mention the amount of other decorations they already had on-site was a great way to save money), and the rolling hills made a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and pictures (especially the photo-bombing alpacas). They were so incredibly kind and wonderful to work with throughout the process. They made time to answer all of our questions and were incredibly accommodating by allowing us to take tours and re-visit as we started planning for our wedding. One of the biggest perks was having the venue for the entire weekend, which made setting up and enjoying our day that much easier. Everyone we've spoken to after the wedding have continued to say how beautiful the venue was and how it made for the absolute perfect wedding. I highly recommend Heartland to any bride looking for a beautiful wedding that's truly one-of-a-kind!

We got married at "A Private Estate" in October of 2018. We visited the year before, and it was one of the few (and the last) places we looked at. I loved it from the start. The grounds were beautiful, but more importantly, the people were great. I felt like we were dealing with real people who were doing what they do out of both love and pride. They showed us all the options, allowed us plenty of space to decide, and overall gave off good vibes. Our intuition told us this was it, and a year later we were so grateful we listened. After a year of planning an outdoor wedding we found out there would be a nor'easter... in October... with high winds and hail... the day of the wedding (thirty-seven degrees!) When we arrived, on Thursday, I was devastated. I never thought I'd find myself crying over the weather, or caring quite so much, but after all the work that goes in to planning and all the family that had traveled to be with us I felt sick. I thought I would be so sad until the wedding was over but as soon as we stepped out of the car the crew, specifically Jack, turned the whole situation around. He brought us wine and firewood, walked us through the estate, allowed us to use this beautiful tent they had put up, and talked about the set-up and how we could work it all out no matter what happened with the weather. He spoke with me and my mother outside the front house in the windy, chilly weather for maybe an hour, reassuring us that no matter what happened he would figure it out, and he did. The morning of the wedding was rain, wind, hail, etc... but that didn't stop Jack, and our wedding planner Danielle (Every Little Detail), from making sure everything was perfect. We watched them run up and down the hills in the rain, shuffling people, heating the barn, and working so hard on our behalf, and I don't think a single guest really even noticed. All we heard was how beautiful the space was, how much fun everyone was having, how impressed they were. RIpley brought us umbrellas and blankets as waited on the porch during the ceremony and was so welcoming and accommodating. A Private Estate was the perfect venue for us. It is so customizable too, whether you want a fancy & formal affair, or a more relaxed party. The views and the grounds speak for themselves, but the true value is having a supportive staff who care as much about your wedding as you do. Every time I look at my wedding photos (the rain makes for some great lighting!) I remember all the love from our families and friends, and the overwhelming appreciation for the staff at A Private Estate. It is cliche, but if I could go back, I wouldn't change a thing. Two years later I still feel the same gratitude. With A Private Estate you can have the outdoor wedding of your dreams... even in a nor'easter.

We recently had our wedding at the Barn and were blown away by the overall experience! The Barn is in a beautiful location surrounded by wildflowers, rolling green hills, and one of the most stunning and unique views of Mount Mansfield, capturing a true Vermont landscape. The Barn property is well-kept and private. The ceremony site is beautiful, with an amazing backdrop, a fantastic patio that helps create that indoor-outdoor experience, and a sprawling lawn. The Barn itself is very bright and filled with natural light, even on a cloudy day. The decor (Farmtables, chairs, doors, exposed beams) provide a Vermont chic vibe. Jenn, Jamie, and Steve were phenomenal to work with. They put in so much hard work to make our wedding personal and special. They carried out our vision with every detail. They are highly organized, responsive (quick to reply to calls, emails, text), and positive. From the moment we booked to our wedding day, they made the planning process incredibly smooth and fun. The Barn works with and recommends a fantastic group of local vendors (Jesse Schloff Photography, Heaven Scent floral, Wedding DJVT, and Sugar Snap). On our wedding day, the Barn made the day stress-free by being extremely attentive, organized, positive, and excited. They were incredibly flexible and responsive to our needs and wants. We trusted the Barn to keep everything running smoothly and on time with very little management from us. From start to finish, the Barn was always accommodating: allowing us to do a personal tour of the venue, letting family in the area swing by to see the space, and being able to drop off decorations early and pick everything up a day later post-wedding. They were always willing to work with us and respond to our needs which was greatly appreciated as it was a destination for us. From the moment we spoke to Jenn and saw the Barn (Video tour), we knew this was the place we wanted to get married, and we were never disappointed along the way. We got married in April at Diamond A Ranch. Venue 10/10. House 10/10. Casita 10/10. Staff 10/10. They/this place honestly couldn't have been any better. Their communication since day one was amazing. Our day of coordinator (Dani) took so much stress away from us. Since our first meeting with her, we felt relieved to know that we were not in this alone. She went above and beyond. All of our guests kept saying (and still say!) how it is the nicest wedding venue they have ever been to. Nobody wanted to leave and we didn't either. We couldn't recommend this place more.

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and overlooking the beautiful Evergreen Lake, this 5,000-square-foot lodge integrates the charm of an intimate celebration into a warm ballroom-like spaciousness. The Great Room, which seats up to 200 people, is fitted with a large stone fireplace and several floor-to-ceiling glass doors that provide easy access to the spectacular view beyond. The smaller Octagon Room has seven windowed sides– so no matter where you are inside, the scenic outdoors are never hidden from view! For outdoor ceremonies, the deck seats up to 100 people (with additional standing room). The deck features log railings and a flagstone step down to the grassy lawn. We host weddings year-round: enjoy the warmth of late-July sunsets, the abundance of golden aspens in September, or the fairytale snowfalls in January at Evergreen Lake.

Evergreen Lake House was a truly magical venue for our wedding - we can't recommend it highly enough! We held the ceremony and reception here for our wedding of 110 guests, and it was absolutely perfect. Ours was a winter wedding so we held the ceremony indoors. The venue itself is so beautiful that you hardly need to bring in any decorations; we had relatively simple decor and all of our guests kept commenting on how beautiful everything looked. With mountains as a backdrop and ice skating on the frozen lake outside, it was a stunning venue. Krista and her team were super helpful leading up to, during, and after the event. And we saved tons of money by being able to provide our own alcohol.

My Old Kentucky Barn is a new venue in an old tobacco barn. The 1800’s barn is situated on over 50 acres on Main Street in Williamstown, Kentucky. Our owner John grew up in Williamstown and, along with his brother Mike, spent a lot of time painting the white board fence and planting Canna bulbs in the spring. John is only the fourth owner of the property in 180 years. The Webb Family were the longest running owners. In fact, they donated land from the property to form Webb Park to the south. John and Edna Risen purchased the property in 1976 and sold it to John over 15 years ago. There is so much history here and we are excited that others can now enjoy the barn. Even though the outside of the barn looks new, all of the old detail is still there on the inside. We know that brides and grooms will make great memories here with their families. It will also be the perfect venue for milestone birthday parties, reunions and other memorable events.

The wedding was perfect for our wedding and reception. Our family and friends were welcomed by a beautiful wedding and venue. The staff was very helpful in set up and clean-up. The venue made our special day even more special! There was plenty of room for our approximately 125 guests, the caterer and the music DJ. We would highly recommend My Old Kentucky Barn for your special day.

We had a lovely stay at Plaz Vilka for our college couples-only reunion. We had a mix of couples and singles and the cottages gave us flexibility for people to choose their sleeping arrangements and allowed for privacy. The property also had plenty of spaces to gather together as a large group which was the goal! We even did a special outdoor dinner event with a private chef which was the highlight of the weekend. The chef had multiple kitchen options to prepare and serve dinner at the property with plenty of supplies. We had the best weekend complete with beautiful sunsets! We LOVED the Gaston and were so happy with our experience booking the space for our 2021 spring wedding reception. Because everything is already so beautifully designed you really don’t need many decorations- seriously the photo ops are endless and it’s even more impressive in person! The upstairs room accommodations were a big added perk for our handful of out of town guests to stay the weekend with us and loved that they provide keys to lock up as an added safety precaution. We also chose to book the house next door which gave us extra space/rooms which has a pool table that became a favorite pastime! Communication was great from the second we first visited to tour to the day of our event- Adrienne is an absolute gem! We could not have done it without her!! We completely trusted her and she and was so helpful and genuinely caring about making our day go as smoothly as possible, on top of working with our vendors or providing recommendations to pull off our own unique wedding vision. Maureen was so sweet too, and I appreciated the attention to detail from the day of breakfast to the condition of the entire property- a storm during the week had damaged some of the string lights in the backyard and they were quickly taken care of without us even noticing, and before our guests arrived. It was the perfect venue for our more intimately sized group (we had around 50 people, but could totally accommodate more or less with the right set up). We received so many compliments from guests about the space, especially the dedicated bar area, and I wish we could throw a party there every weekend! If you’re on the fence, just book it now! A great Dallas location that isn’t your typical white barn or industrial wedding venue- We cannot recommend The Gaston enough!

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year.
