A photography professionally since 1997, my photographic skills were honed back in the days of film, working in my family's advertising agency. The catalyst which caused me to make this career shift was a cancer diagnosis in 2008. Having cancer causes you to reevaluate a lot of things about how you spend the time you have left in this world. And I wanted to spend whatever time I have left here doing something meaningful. And what could be more meaningful than weddings?

I would describe my photography style as cinematic with true to life colors. I have the ability to switch from a journalistic photographer to a portrait photographer throughout a wedding day. The little in between moments make for the best photos, and I’m not about capturing awkward poses and forced smiles. I anticipate the moments that will happen throughout the day and have my camera ready. I want you to feel the emotions of the day when you look at your photos! Beautiful locations and perfect lighting can make spectacular images, but if it doesn’t help tell the story of your day, it is meaningless.

My love of photography began a decade ago when I was introduced to film development in my high school's dark room. I went on to further my education in college where I majored in fine art photography. I find that in my free time, I am hiking with my other half, Jameson, and our two lovely dogs!
