“I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“Funk Almighty was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!!! From the beginning, Daryl, the band's manager, was a dream to communicate with – always quick to respond and incredibly accommodating to our needs. On the big day, they exceeded our expectations with one heck of a performance. Their setlist was a hit, blending different genres to cater to our very diverse group of guests. We gave them a heads up and they brought hits from the 70's all the way through the 2000's. What really set them apart was the band's chemistry and enthusiasm were infectious! “Drew from Crimson Events was our DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. He did an absolutely phenomenal job! He worked with us beforehand to get a feel for us as a couple and what we wanted for our big day. He was very easy to work with both before and during the wedding. He kept our guests engaged and entertained. He was able to accurately read the room and tailor the music to keep everyone happy. When several guests requested karaoke (which was not discussed beforehand) he doublechecked that it was okay with us before moving forward. DJ’s at an event can definitely make or break an occasion. Every time DJ Blk Soldier was organized, asked important questions, very responsive and of course he protected the vibe! “A few days before our wedding, I got a message from Al saying our DJ had COVID and that they were going to send someone else. I was super bummed because I had loved our original pick (DJ Marcus) who did a fantastic job DJing our friends wedding in 2021. The replacement DJ (DJ Jose) called us right away to review all the details of the night with us. I was still hesitant, but was beginning to feel more comfortable during the conversation. On wedding day, DJ Jose was kind, professional, punctual, and ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT on the dance floor!! No one sat down for the entire night and guests are STILL raving about DJ Jose! Many guests have even requested Jose's song selections for the entire day (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) because they loved it so much! “My husband and I absolutely love Cage and Aquarium! We utilized them for both photography and DJ services on wedding day. As for our photographers, they were incredible in their photography skills but also in supporting us on wedding day. They helped make the day run smoothly and were efficient in coordinating things such as taking large family photos and enduring our travels around the city between the ceremony and reception. As for our DJ, he was also amazing. He kept the reception running smoothly and was so personable and professional. I couldn't have been more impressed with the music selection our DJ chose -- so many of our guests said that we had the most amount of people dancing at a wedding that they'd seen. “Can't say enough great things about Paul! From start to finish, Paul put my fiance and I at ease with his expertise and advice. In our first call, he took time to ask us about our vision and used that to tailor his recommendations. After booking with Paul, he provides you with access to a portal that lets you easily organize all the planned music as well as give him guidance for must plays, like to hear, do not play, etc. It also has a section where you can see popular songs for various parts of the wedding and/or for different genres, which we really needed and appreciated. After that, you meet with Paul to cover your selections and nail down more of the timeline for the day itself. Organized to a T. Most importantly, Paul read the dance floor perfectly, responding and adapting to the vibe as the night went on. He was the perfect blend of energetic but not at all obnoxious (have definitely seen corny DJs at other weddings - this is NOT Paul), his assistant was great, and he worked side by side not only with us but also our other vendors and coordinators. Not exaggerating that close to a dozen guests raved about Paul specifically. Direct quote the next morning from a guest from New Jersey for our Chicago wedding: "He was FANTASTIC, I'm gonna fly him out for our anniversary party!" While I'm not sure if Paul's radius extends that far, I am sure it would be the East Coast's loss. You can't go wrong.”
