Toast & Jam DJs specialize in making people dance by working closely with our clients to create customized playlists that reflect their tastes. We reject line dances, props, and other gimmicks in favor of perfectly planned and well-timed soundtracks that appeal to every partygoer. That means no Hokey Pokey and no Chicken Dance. At Toast & Jam, we believe that a thoughtful mix of pop favorites, hip-hop bootyshakers, Motown classics, and timeless standards are fun and self-respecting alternative to those embarrassing and played-out dancefloor clichés.

Our DJs are super-talented and totally music-obsessed, but we aren't music snobs. We understand that it’s your wedding, and it’s all about what you want. We aren’t club DJs who took a wedding “for the money.” We love weddings and are honored to be a part of the big day. We work closely with your other vendors to make sure that the event goes off perfectly.

    Norah and the Toast & Jam crew were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the start, their communication was detailed, and thorough, putting our minds at ease. Their process for selecting music we like/didn't like was straightforward and the resulting playlist was extraordinary - guests continue to bring it up months after the event! Norah was available for us, and patient throughout the entire planning process. Additionally, Norah was incredibly flexible and responsive to our wishes as a same-sex couple. She used her industry expertise to steer us when we needed the guidance and took our feedback to heart to make sure the day was ours. We are so grateful to Norah and her team for making our wedding day perfect. It takes a lot of trust to allow someone to take the music helm for a day like your wedding. We had all the faith that Norah was going to do right by us and make our day exactly as we hoped. Our guests had the most amazing time on the dance floor thanks to Norah. Not to mention that Norah is just an absolute gem of a human.

    We had Chris G from Toast & Jam as our DJ for our wedding in December at Chicago Winery and he was INCREDIBLE!! He played the saxophone along with DJ'ing, and was the star of the show coming out on the dance floor and just lighting it up! We got so many compliments about how great he was and the dance floor never lulled. He was also so great to work with leading up to the wedding, totally understanding our vibe and curating a perfect playlist for all ages! Hire Chris and Toast & Jam for your wedding!!

    When we reached out to wedding DJs, we knew two things: Music was important to us, and we had no idea how to map things out for our big day. Toast and Jam's website was indicator alone that they might have the right vibe, but only when my fiance started bonding with the DJ over obscure bands during the intro call did I know we'd hit the jackpot. ("I like pop music!" I squeaked out, feeling a bit silly.) I've been to a lot of weddings, and I know how much difference an engaged DJ can make. I never imagined our dance floor would be packed for the full three hours, or that we would have such calm and clear guidance from our Toast and Jam team. Paul was organized, dedicated, and consistently went above and beyond. And I mean above and beyond! When I broke my foot two weeks ahead of our big day, a lot of our first dance dreams went out the window. Paul helped cut down two songs to a shorter edit, and he made the brilliant suggestion to bring the guests out during the father/daughter dance, which packed our dance floor from the jump.

    We used Toast and Jam as the DJ for our recent wedding. From the start, working with Jenna was a breeze. The initial meeting set the tone that this was a professional organization who knew how to throw a party. She provided a comprehensive packet to help brainstorming song choices and general vibe. She was very flexible in meeting arrangements during the planning process to help with changes in our schedule. Day of, she was on time and set up. Multiple friends and family came to me during the reception and noted how great Jenna was and how she set the perfect tone to have a great time. While I don't plan to need to for this kind of event, I would 100% use her again for a wedding.
