Perfect Setting Catering & Events

5.0

Berwyn, PA
  • Starts at $1

Perfect Setting Catering was founded in 1991 by Deborah and Jerry Diehl as a full-service custom catering company providing services to your home, office or as a preferred caterer to a wide range of unique event facilities throughout the Delaware Valley. Our approach has met with the approval of our many loyal Main Line, Philadelphia, and New Jersey clients. From our dining room and kitchen staff to our sales department, each client can expect the kind of friendly, unpretentious, highly personalized service you tend to remember long after you’ve said goodbye to your guests…

Working with Jerry and his team made our wedding amazing. They are the most professional team out there. The food is fantastic, the staff is very friendly and they made our event go off without a single issue. They were extremely attentive to us as the bride and groom(they brought us ice waters and all the appetizers while we were finishing up our photos) but also all of our guests. We have continued to get compliments about how wonderful the food was and the service at our wedding. Jerry and Sam ensured that our day was absolutely perfect. They sat down with us prior to the big day to go through finishing touches. They provided many different floor plan layouts for us to choose from. They provided their expert opinion on linens, layout and timelines to ensure that the evening flowed well. Their communication between ourselves and all of our other vendors was fantastic. Perfect setting made our wedding a success. We would have them cater any event that we have in the future! Anyone would be lucky to work with this incredible group!

SanTan Brewing Catering

5.0

Chandler, AZ
  • Starts at $540

We pride ourselves on serving fresh, handcrafted foods straight from our kitchen to your mouth. Our goal is to provide a dining experience as unique and special as your event is to you. We offer 2 unique onsite catering spaces with our Brewer's Reserve and SanTan Gardens and partner with multiple venues across the valley. We can also come to you!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about SanTan, period! I was lucky enough to work with them for both my rehearsal dinner and my wedding and would choose them again in a heart beat. Having my wedding out of state and not being familiar with vendors in the area I was lucky enough to work with a venue (The Paseo - also 10/10 recommend), and have the option between SanTan and another awesome catering company. After corresponding via email we flew in for a tasting and everything about SanTan blew us away. I worked directly with Alexa, their catering director, and she was fantastic. She was incredibly organized and helped us work our way through the options, narrow down what we wanted to try and ultimately pick a menu that we knew we and our guests would love. She answered all of my questions, and there were a lot, and totally put me at ease! During the tasting we loved the food and the vibe of the brewery so much we even decided that it would be the perfect place for our rehearsal dinner! Again, the communication between us and everyone involved at SanTan made both nights flawless! All of my guests could not believe how on top of everything the servers and staff were, and how attentive they were to detail! I had a handful of guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions, and they did not miss a BEAT making sure that my guests were taken care of. As a bride, I can’t tell you how amazing it feels to not have to worry about food and service; because that was so important to me and my hubby! If you are getting married, or looking for someone to cater an event in the greater AZ area (don’t worry they actually make their own kitchen onsite which is insanely cool) you won’t go wrong picking SanTan :) if you’ve already found someone for your catering needs (bummer) at least stop by their brewery in Chandler for a beer and yummy food!

Sterling Events

5.0

Austin, TX

Sterling Events Hospitality is an experienced wedding catering company based in Central Austin. Since 1995, we have customized menus for our couples, catering to their palette and budget. We are the preferred caterer for some of Central Texas’s most prominent venues.

Everything that Sterling Events provided for our wedding was absolutely perfect!!! From catering and linens to bartending, setup, breakdown, and even day-of coordination, they were instrumental in making our dream day a reality. Everything ran incredibly smoothly, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the meal! We chose their Budget Italian Dinner with the addition of their spinach and artichoke dip served during our cocktail hour. Sterling Events impressed us with their transparent pricing and clear communication, which was truly invaluable while wedding planning. Everyone we interacted with was exceptionally kind and courteous, but we must highlight the outstanding work of Emily Vidal, our coordinator and main contact at Sterling. Emily was not only friendly and detail-oriented but also incredibly prompt in her communication. Her presence was a gift in itself on our wedding day as she made our wedding day stress-free, which allowed us to fully enjoy and cherish the day. Her dedication made our experience with Sterling Events truly exceptional. If you're looking for the perfect caterer for your wedding day then look no further!! Sterling Events had everything we needed and their seamless execution made our special day truly feel like a fairytale!

    Crave Cuisine

    5.0

    Sturgeon Bay, WI
    • Starts at $1,600

We are a boutique catering company creating custom menus for all couples to reflect their story, style, taste & budget. Chef Lori and Chef Ollen work with you from the planning stages until your last guest leaves your reception to ensure that you and your guests' experience is the best it can be. We've been in catering for over 35 years combined and are dedicated to creating beautiful, healthful, memorable and delicious (the most important one!) food for your event. We offer day-of wedding coordination services to help you and your guests enjoy the day to the fullest.

I wish there were words to adequately describe how much we value and appreciate Lori and Ollen of Crave Cuisine. Not only was their professionalism and talent unparalleled, but their kindness and genuine desire to make our wedding special is something we will never forget. They went out of their way many times in the weeks and months leading up to the day to make sure that we not only had everything we needed, but that we were happy and content with not only their services, but with our own planning as well. If we were ever to plan another event that would require catering services, I wouldn't look anywhere else but Crave Cuisine. They are both exemplary people and the love they have for their craft is palpable. We are eternally grateful for everything they have done for us, and we look forward to keeping an eye on the success we know they will obtain in Chicago.

    BITE

    5.0

    New York, NY
    • Starts at $10,000

We really hate the word "catering". This word conjures all the worst least-common-denominator associations, and we believe that through our attention to craft & collaboration, our work attains an authentic resonance far beyond that of most service providers. We aim to work with and compose for, to express & celebrate our clients' & partners' personalities as best we can. but... Until we find a more poetic & succinct descriptor, catering is what we do. Our projects are equally balanced between private (weddings, birthdays, social gatherings), non-profit (galas, openings, fundraisers) and corporate (launches, fashion shows, meetings).

Scott and his team at BITE are extraordinary. He is deeply passionate about his craft, and together with his team, they are detail-oriented, possess phenomenal style, and have caches of patience. As a culinary industry professional, with cooking being what brought me and my husband together, we envisioned our wedding revolving around the dining experience. I intended to include personal touches in everything from the welcome spritzes to the passed desserts on the dance floor. While most industry professionals would understandably feel daunted by such a task, Scott matched my level of enthusiasm as if it were his own wedding. For every idea and whim I came to him with, he delivered with such grace that underscored how well he interpreted my taste. We planned our wedding for two and a half years during the pandemic, so there were many unexpected changes along the way. Ultimately, Scott guided me to make the decisions that would create the most cohesive event. To make a wedding feel opulent and yet ebullient is one of the rarest of abilities - Scott and his team achieve this with thoughtful, contemporary taste and a laser focus on the guest experience. There were fig leaves and rose geranium that Scott personally retrieved from my dad's garden and infused into the passed dessert bites and cocktails and an edible tablescape that emulated a Dutch oil painting. Guests continued to be awed by the beautiful first course of colorful, seasonal vegetables served individually in perfect unison. The main event was a standing rib roast ornamented with pheasant feathers and a shimmering salt-baked bass elaborately presented on vintage rolling carts, then served in traditional French-style service. Our ceremony was intended to take place in the private gardens of the historic General Theological Seminary in Chelsea, but an unexpected impending storm led to a change of plans. Scott recognized that the rain plan that our wedding planners contrived would not be feasible with the live band and dining table set up before it was too late. He rearranged every aspect of the day, starting with proposing a new ceremony vision that I was just as thrilled with, even though it meant his team would have only one hour to turn over the reception room. I can only imagine the complexities and back-and-forth that pulling off the culinary experience this event no doubt required. Yet, during the week of the wedding, Scott handled everything while providing emotional support every step of the way. Despite the challenges the storm brought, all the technicalities were impeccably executed, and our taste and vision for the evening came alive in the most enchanting way. Now, when I look at the pictures of our ceremony in front of the rose-adorned fireplace in the refectory room, it feels almost preordained. I can still hear Scott’s wise assurances, “It won’t always be what you wanted, but it will be exactly what you need.” Our wedding far exceeded what we envisioned and we credit all the magic to Scott. Thank you, Scott and the BITE team, for not just executing a fantastic meal we will always treasure but for also taking on the planning where it was so needed. Without Scott and his team, we never would have had the opportunity to live the moment so fully. xx Jillian Canaj

    About wedding catering

How much does wedding catering cost?

When thinking about catering cost, consider drinks, hors d'oeuvres and stations, and the main meal itself. Bar services are quoted per person and pricing often depends on what alcohol you want (more expensive packages include pricier labels). Hors d'oeuvres and stations are also priced per person, with variable costs for more expensive options like lobster rolls. For the main meal, consider what you’d spend per head going out to a restaurant in your area—the cost per person at your wedding will be similar. Keep in mind that plated meals cost more per person than buffets.

When should we book our wedding caterer?

Choosing a wedding caterer is an important decision for many couples—good food can really make an event stellar! It’s best to start researching caterers 10–12 months out, and book around 8 months out. You may not always be able to schedule a tasting before booking your caterer. For many smaller vendors, the effort and expense to put together tastings without a signed contract is prohibitive. In these cases, your tasting will take place after you’ve booked the caterer and will focus on refining menu choices.
