I strive to capture your raw connection while documenting such an important day. On a more personal note- I love the outdoors for more than just photo-ops. This allows me to work with people daily and help make a difference in their lives.

Amanda was everything we could have asked for and more! She was professional and responsive to our requests. My heart beats for photographing a story worth telling, and finding the funny, quirky, moving little moments throughout that narrative. I always have a smile on my face and love, absolutely love to make people laugh. I can recite funny quotes and sing to you the cheesiest of songs. As cheesy as it may sound, I want to be your friend. I want to laugh throughout the whole day with you, making every moment so memorable and being right by your side to capture it. I want to keep in touch with you after, to see where life takes you!

I have had the pleasure to work along side Andrea on several weddings now. She is extremely professional and has a really great energy. We think along the same as in what shots to get, so she is always right on the same page, which is great!

Far Out Feeling

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Watsonville, CA for additional fees

Meaghan here - I’m the one from which you’ll hear a lot of “Fuck yeah!!!” and “You guys look so hot!” My inspiration comes from our lord and savior, Janis Joplin, and my style is free movement and honesty. Howdy! I'm Brendon, a quiet Mid-Westerner turned East-Coast loud-mouth who happens to have a knack for photography, editing, graphic illustration, and all things creative. My background comes from shooting fashion shows and exclusive events for BFA.com around NYC, which made me appreciate the avant-garde.

We had a terrific experience working with Meaghan and Brendon of “Far Out Feeling.” If you’ve made it this far, you already love their style – their ability to capture both candid and staged photos artfully – and we are happy to report that the photographers have personalities to match. We loved meeting them for drinks months in advance of our wedding, which gave us a nice context for one another when the day finally came (we cannot imagine, now, not knowing our wedding photographers when they arrived to take pictures of us!) We perhaps didn’t consider how crucial this feeling of comfort was, but when you think about, you do spend a tremendous portion of your wedding day with your photographers. Meaghan and Brendon felt like friends, which made even the parts of the wedding that we don’t like (posing!) feel easy, natural, and fun. Meaghan and Brendon were incredibly responsive, from first to last. They always got back to us the day we had a question, and even weeks after our wedding, they were responding to our technical difficulties within minutes. And the photos themselves turned out great! Again, you’ve probably seen evidence of this already. We cannot wait to print them, frame them, and, in all likelihood, post them relentlessly to our Instagram stories. A huge thank you to Meaghan and Brendon, who we recommend whole-heartedly.

Hi! I am Courtney! Photography is my passion. I can't put into words how excited I am thinking about a session or a wedding. Giddy like a little kid in a toy store, I suppose! I love details. As small as the sparkling eyeshadow on the bride's eyelid for her special day. The tiny fingernails on a newborn's hands. All the giggles and laughs. Kisses and a loving glance. I want to document every little thing for you. Events and life, in general, can be so busy. I am based in Arlington, Washington, but I serve all of the United States and most countries. I LOVE to travel!

We had the best experience with Wilde & Free Photography! They got every picture I could’ve wanted on my wedding day (including my Pinterest inspo pictures) and they turned out absolutely beautiful! I could stare at them all day! 10/10 recommend!!

I have a love for travel and I'm obsessed with my dog and two cats. I enjoy lots of raw, sassy humor and a little bit of sarcasm. Tequila is my go-to... all the margaritas please! The desert is where you’ll find me on any given day. There’s something so magical about that place, am I right? I love learning the little weird things about my couples and bringing out the corkiness. We all have it! If you like what you’re reading, maybe I'm the one!

Awarded Best of Zola
Kellie is amazing! She was so quick to respond with answers for a ton of questions I had before booking her. She also made me and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera and helped us with poses. I described the look i was going for and kellies photography matched it perfectly! She was always on time and had a quick turn around with my photos and album. She stayed til the very end of my wedding and got some fun candid shots. We love our photos and everyone who has seen them is super impressed! I’ll be using her again for my next event!

Marla Manes Photography

Hi, I’m Marla, and I’ve had a camera in my hands since I could hold one. Travel is what first sparked my love of photography– I felt the need to document every gorgeous landscape in my sights across Europe, Asia, the South Pacific, and here in the States. Once I started taking portraits, though, everything shifted, and I became obsessed with documenting love. I value photos as memories, and they’re extremely precious to me. To me, the ability to freeze a moment in time so you’ll always be able to return to that beauty and joy is nothing short of magic.

She is precious and perfect and excellent at what she does. My wife and I happened upon Marla’s work when she first moved to Seattle in our hunt for queer friendly photographers. From the first moment we spoke we knew we’d be in good hands. Working with Marla felt like hanging out with a friend. We love her and you will love her too. We didn’t absorb that she specialized in elopement photography when we found her, but clearly she’s versatile because our photos are gorgeous! As people who aren’t used to being photographed professionally, Marla gave great direction when we needed it and caught a million beautiful candid moments. She forgot her coat in her fiancés car and did not complain or act chilly even though her nose and cheeks were turning red (don’t worry, we shared our jackets with her haha). Our guests also raved about her!!! She’s lovely and talented; she will make you feel comfortable and encouraged and beautiful.

An expert on wild and beautiful locations on the West Coast (California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii) I am a full time photographer with a passion for creating timeless and candid art about your life. I service all of Southern California, Northern California, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii regularly, and will travel anywhere you want me to go to document your love!

September '23 couple here - while searching for photographers back in December '22, we really didn't know what we were looking for, that is, until we found Michelle. Her photos were the perfect marriage of whimsical, light, airy but poetic & deeply romantic at the same time. The vibe I could see on the walls of my home for years to come. She did our engagement photos in Joshua Tree, after scouting the park on her own all day one day, to make sure the location was exactly what we wanted. We trusted her vision immensely! Not only was that day a blast, the end results were seriously everything we wanted & more. Fast forward to our Wedding, September 30th, 2023. An absolute dream of a day. Michelle completely conquered that day. She was so great at directing every situation to get the perfect shots. I come from an event background, so her organizational management and eye for perfection did not go unnoticed. We are so glad we found her, & now when our family grows, I know exactly who I'm calling for family photos 3

I started my journey as a portrait & fashion photographer, primarily in London, England working with modeling agencies before moving to America with my husband 6 years ago. I would describe my style as modern, moody, and timeless. More so after raising my two boys, I began changing my photography direction toward couples & their unique love stories. I strive to capture each raw moment that truly captures this memorable day for you both. With an editorial background from the likes of Vogue, I also incorporate romantic poses that truly make each couple shine. This guarantees beautiful imagery to look back on for years to come.

Awarded Best of Zola
Heather was a fantastic photographer and really spent the time with us to take all of the photos we wanted. From beginning to end it was flawless knowing she was there and always close by to get some candid unplanned photos that were in the moment. I was able to call her name and get her to come take a photo with my 91 year old grandmother spontaneously without missing a beat. There were 2 brides for this wedding (myself and my now wife) and she made sure to make us both equally feel important and special and took all the photos we wanted and more of us together and separately (when we were getting ready) and also made our dog Jax feel special because he was apart of the wedding also. She was one of the best photographers I have worked with, and I work with them every day in the fashion world, and mainly wanted to hire a really great wedding photographer like Heather, and we are so glad we did! She is excellent and I highly recommend hiring her for your special day!

Hi! My name is Jacqueline and I've been in the photography industry for almost a decade. I believe that when I pick up my camera, I am there to tell a story. On your wedding day, I am there to document a new chapter of your love story. I capture all the intimate moments of your day, and then some!

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it was to work with Jacqueline for our wedding this past weekend. She was extremely easy-going, communicative, professional, and always quick to respond for the entire year leading up to our wedding. So it came as no surprise that on our wedding day she absolutely crushed it. She captured our day so seamlessly. She was never in the way, never made us uncomfortable and just blended into the background in all the right ways. She made the wedding party and family photos process quick and painless which I know from experience can sometimes prove to be a disaster or just unorganized and chaotic at weddings. I was even MORE blown away when she delivered some photos the morning after our wedding after probably being up super late after getting home from our wedding. Talk about going above and beyond and exceeding expectations!!! I could not have asked for a better photographer to play such a huge part in our big day and I would recommend Jacqueline to ANYONE. Coral was amazing to work with! We had the pleasure of getting to know her when we booked her last-minute to take some photos of my good friends' small backyard ceremony in 2018. When my husband and I later got engaged, we knew we had to book Coral to capture our own planned festivities for June 2020. When 2020 rolled around and it became apparent that we had to scrap most of our original plans, we couldn't have asked for a better partner than Coral. Her flexibility and encouragement during what was a crazy time for everyone kept us sane. We unfortunately nixed all of our other vendors with the changes we made, but kept Coral because we knew we wanted her there to capture whatever our day turned out to be. Coral captured beautiful photos of our two(!) wedding/reception dates and we are so glad to have those treasured photos. She's incredibly easy to work with and made everyone feel so comfortable, especially as my family and I don't get in front of the camera very often. We can't recommend Coral enough!

Welcome to "We Do Weddings," where love meets artistry, and moments are forever preserved. We're Jared and Quinn, not just business partners, but a couple who share a deep passion for capturing the most cherished memories of your special day. Our journey into the world of wedding photography and videography began as a shared dream—a dream that brought together our love for storytelling, our appreciation for timeless elegance, and our fascination with the candid, unscripted moments that make every love story unique.

We had our engagement photos taken by We Do Weddings and had a great experience. My wife and I weren't set on a good location, but Jared and Quinn had a couple of suggestions and Freestone Park turned out perfect. They also arrived early and had a couple spots in mind to shoot at, which I really appreciated since it was a warm day and that expedited the process. The shoot was casual and surprisingly fun. They worked quickly but we never felt rushed. They gave great direction (including some pictures of what they were looking for at times) which turned out great. We just got the photos back and my wife and I were blown away. They turned out beautifully and we are so happy with them. The entire experience was a joy and the end result was exactly what we were hoping for.

Maggie and Hank were absolutely amazing to work with. They knew exactly what they were doing and so professional yet very personable. They got all the shots I wanted and added some great ideas too. I love their clean and airy style. Our pictures have come out so good so far for the sneak peeks. They are also very affordable and will work with what you need. My family and guests even complimented on their professionalism and friendliness. 100% would recommend them!

Hi! I'm Ria, but my friends call me Ri. I'm a Southern California based photographer traveling worldwide for weddings, elopements & love. There's nothing that makes me happier than making other people feel fucking GREAT about themselves. I care about eternalizing your story, no matter your race, gender, sexuality or body type — i’m here for you.

If I could give this girl more stars I would. Her work is incredible and I had high expectations for my wedding (because she killed it for my engagement photo shoot) - and man did she blow it out of the water. I felt like I was reliving my dream day when I looked through my gallery - and cried so many times I had to call my mom. Her photos are best in class, and she's the most fun, down to earth person to work with. She made me feel so comfortable the entire day - even though it was 100 degrees outside. I can't recommend her enough, she's a rockstar photographer.

I started photographing weddings in 2017. I originally got my first camera to photograph landscapes- National Parks specifically. But the second the camera was in my hands, I was immediately drawn to photographing connections between people. Since that moment I haven't hesitated while my heart led me in the direction of wedding and elopement photography! I love documenting the in-between, unprompted moments; the subtle way your partner glances over at you with a side smile when you're not paying attention, the groom fiddling with his new ring, and the uncontrollable laughter when you're melting into each other during your couple's photos.

Tammy, there is not enough praise in this world for what you deserve for truly creating the most magical elopement day. From the moment we started talking, Tammy filled our imagination with ideas, plans and picture locations to help make our wedding special. She did not hesitate when we decided to elope in Acadia National Park and sent over research and location ideas of where to hold our ceremony. She was attentive to the details that were most important to us and really allowed us to create our perfect day. Not only did she help plan our elopement day but day of she arrived early and was able to help create the excitement and long lasting memories. With her creative eye, she found the most perfect spot for us to have our first look. With great skill, she professionally moved the wedding party along to be to stay true to the ceremony timeline and the National Park entrance time (which is a feat to coordinate 7 guests, a dog and a bus driver). With not having a wedding planner (or any guest focused on timeline) it was so helpful to have Tammy to take charge and gather the group. Lastly, but certainly not least, she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. We dont normally enjoy being the center of attention, she had us move naturally and cued us to be confident in front of the camera. With her upbeat personality and lots of laughs, the pictures captured our excitement and love while we eloped. She didn’t hesitate for a second when we asked for our dog to be in almost every picture us and was able to capture. She read my mind as taking pictures from different angles and of the landscape around us. Thank you Tammy for making our dream surprise elopement a reality! Not only was it the most perfect day, but now we have pictures that capture the emotions and celebration of our wedding!

I love mexican food, cats (and dogs!), and iced coffee. Books are my best friends, and I also double as a yoga teacher when I'm not doing photography related things. I have a weird obsession with fuzzy socks and I prefer movies over TV shows. Now on to the typical things you want to know about my journey in photography...I got my first camera in 2009 and basically haven't put it down since! I studied photography at Savannah College of Art and Design and started my freelance photography career when I graduated in 2016!

If I had to describe Cayleigh in one word, it would be fantastic! When I was look for a photographer I really wanted someone who would mesh well with my husband as he is not very photogenic, or should I say camera shy. Cayleigh worked very well with him and got him to come out of his shell! We did and Engagement shoot, 10 hours for our wedding, and will be doing some maternity photos here in a couple months as well! If you are looking for someone who is friendly, and gets creative with any type of person she is your girl!

I’m not a posed kinda gal, I believe in capturing you two as you are and telling your story. I believe in approaching my clients as friends and fostering a connection between us to better be able to tell your story. Right from the moment you hire me, I’m there to help you through the whole planning process. Finding outfits that fit yall, helping dream of a location that helps tell your story, and guiding yall through our session. If it’s your wedding, I’m here to help you make your wedding the most you. Be your advocate. I’m in your corner. I know all the best and LGBTQ+ friendly vendors in the business.

As someone who HATES getting their photo taken (no seriously, it made me more nervous than the actual getting married part), I needed Nadine. Nadine is an absolute dream to work with. She is so attentive to your needs and really works her best for her clients. She did my sister's wedding, so I knew immediately after meeting her that she would need to do mine as well. In both events, she made all of us feel so comfortable and basically like the camera was not even there. She handled our families so well, so every mom felt heard and ensured that we got those "high priority" photos done. She went above and beyond for us. She traveled to Colorado from Texas. It felt like we had someone we knew and who knew us, which helped on this amazing but stressful day. That gave us a breath of fresh air. As part of her style, she blends in to catch the candid moments (which is what I wanted), and tbh I did not even see her for most of the night, but I know she was there. She is truly amazing and I feel honored to have her as my photographer. Now, we are clients for life.

To me love is art, and art is love. My intent is to produce different, authentic, and cinematic imagery for you + your partner to cherish. I work in collaboration with couples to foster a place of intentionality allowing them to feel their most honest selves while engaged in and surrounded by beautiful scenery. I find I create the best art when I'm outside letting my clients exist together, no silly poses or staging, just the moment. Your wedding day is about the connection you two have and I want to produce imagery that honors your connection in an honest and intimate way.

Awarded Best of Zola
Nicole is a very genuine and talented photographer and it shows in her photos. Not only is she great at what she does but she is also very personable and professional! She was amazing with communication before, during, and after the wedding. Before the wedding, she made sure to make a note of any photos we were wanting. She took the time to learn what was important to us and got to know us as a couple and then she captured everything perfectly in every single photo. When we got our wedding photos back we got to re-live our wedding day all over again. We couldn’t stop looking at them because of how amazing they were. They are something that we will cherish forever and I’m so happy that we chose Nicole to capture one of the best days of our life.
