Alton Richardson Studios is a wedding and elopement photographer based in Boulder, CO. I specialize in modern and traditional weddings and adventurous elopements. I take a mostly documentary approach to my photography while adding an element of fine art. I capture the intimate and quiet moments that happen throughout the day. I prefer to prompt rather than pose, providing opportunities for couples to interact naturally and organically. With a heavy focus on natural light, I'm constantly playing with the sun and shadows, finding something unique and extraordinary in the ordinary. My images are bold and epic yet intimate and artistic.

Having worked for over a decade in the Outdoor Industry as a commercial and lifestyle photographer, chasing around some of the world's best rock climbers and skiers, I've developed an extensive portfolio of far-flung adventures that have been printed in numerous outdoor magazines and brand catalogs. With storytelling first & foremost, I strive to capture natural, intimate moments while delivering signature masterpiece work at the highest possible level.
