“Planning a wedding from 2,000 miles away was definitely a challenge. We live in California, but originally from Chicago where all our families still reside. Outside of one quick visit to Meyer's Castle, all our meetings and preparations were done remotely. Their team worked with us at every step of the journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful! They were highly communicative, exceptionally helpful, and ceaselessly encouraging throughout the entire process. The estate, building, furnishings, and amenities at Meyer's Castle are undeniably beautiful and meticulously curated. The people of Meyer's Castle make it so spectacular. We would not have been successful without the incredible staff at Meyer's Castle who made our dream a reality. Their professionalism and capabilities are outstanding! The owners immediately made a positive and lasting impression on us. They made us feel like family! Our coordinator, Brenda, worked tirelessly to ensure that our vision came to life. Her abilities were on full display the day of the wedding. She not only kept us all on the same schedule, which in and of itself is impressive, but she conducted the flow of the day, with all its moving parts, seamlessly and with remarkable poise! Though their hard work behind the scenes may have gone largely unseen, their efforts were tremendously appreciated by all, especially by my husband and me. In short, Meyer's Castle frequently exceeded all of our expectations. They continuously eased the hassle of planning our big day from afar. “My husband nor I are from Michigan (from the Chicagoland area) and everyone kept asking us "why Michigan?" The moment they walked in, they felt the same feeling I did when I first toured the venue. It is beautiful, unique, personal and was everything and more that I could have hoped for. Our wedding as at the end of June and we were very fortunate that the rain held off and the temperature/humidity ended up being perfect. We had about 185 guests attend the wedding and I think everyone was too stunned by the venue to even care about the drizzle of rain that was happening. Not to mention, Amelia and her staff are absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end.”

The venue itself was incredibly spacious, with a beautiful bridal suite and a cozy groomsman garage that provided the perfect getting ready spaces. When we had a mishap and spilled wine on one of the white tablecloths, they quickly steam cleaned it before the ceremony so you'd never know. And when we realized we had the wrong size tablecloths, they immediately provided the matching color we needed. Sundance & The Secret Garden truly helped make our wedding day one we'll never forget.”

“We are so glad that we discovered Stonegate Manor for our small family ceremony! To start, it is so close to Lake Michigan. We were able to get a photo op at the beach in our casual clothes before the ceremony. Then when we arrived at Stonegate, there was plenty of space in the beautiful manor house for us to change into our ceremony outfits. And speaking of photo ops, the grounds are beautiful and have tons of options for beautiful backdrops. We chose the Fairy Garden as our location, and since we were planning our wedding on a very short timeline, we didn’t have any extra decorations. We didn’t need them! It was the perfect secluded spot for us to say our vows with our family members, both human and canine (did we mention Stonegate is dog friendly?!). As I mentioned, we were planning our wedding with only about a month’s notice, and at first we thought that we’d just go to the courthouse. We can’t say how glad we are that we chose Stonegate instead. While we wanted the day to be a casual, stress free event, we also wanted it to be special and memorable. Having an elopement package that includes flowers, cake and other extras eliminated planning stress and decision fatigue, and Prudy is so easy to work with and was able to accommodate the requests we did have to make the day uniquely ours. If you are planning on having your wedding at Stonegate Manor, expect personalized customer service, consistent communication, and a warm welcome when you arrive for your big day.”
