About this venue

Lakeside Occasions is a family-owned wedding barn in the heart of northern Indiana's Amish country. Our historic dairy barn was built in the late 1880's and has been in the family ever since! We call it "The Guernsey" in reference to the type of cows that were milked there. The barn is nestled between picturesque farmland on a peaceful lake in a small village known as Emma.

The Guernsey Barn

Dine and dance the night away in our beautifully restored 1880s dairy barn

The main floor of The Guernsey Barn features a stage for ceremonies or wedding party seating and a side room with a built-in bar and space for your buffet & desserts. The balcony overlooks our dance floor complete with a stunning bronze chandelier. An enclosed deck is the perfect spot for your guest book, gift table, or a photo booth. Downstairs, the old milk house is now a caterer's prep kitchen with a commercial refrigerator & sink. The silo has been transformed into a perfect bridal suite.

Bar Services at Lakeside Occasions

Peak pricing $500-2,500

Description

Lakeside Occasions is the mandatory vendor for bar services. We charge a $500 Bar Service Fee which covers 2 bartenders, cups, & ice + some starting host credit for the couple and/or wedding party. Host then can offer cash bar or purchase additional credit to cover some or all of the guests’ alcohol. We serve a variety of domestic beers, wine varietals, and pre-mixed (RTD) cocktails + champagne/sparkling wine.

Day Before Decorating/Rehearsal

Description

Day Before Decorating Package (based on availability) includes 5 hours of decorating time & guaranteed rehearsal the day before the wedding, with the option for a 90-minute extension for Rehearsal Dinner in our 50s themed diner room. *FOR FRIDAY & SATURDAY EVENTS ONLY*
