About this venue

Sherwood Gardens is a progressive & inclusive venue welcoming traditional as well as non traditional weddings & ceremonies. The 10 acre estate is located in the City of Plainwell offering conveniences of the city while maintaining a secluded natural environment. The weekend estate rental includes 3 days & 2 nights lodging providing guests with a relaxed experience and ample time for preparation, celebrations, & cleanup. Estate rental includes full use of the Event Barn, grounds, & house. The 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house sleeps up to 16 guests, & is perfect for the family & wedding parties to get ready & stay for the weekend. A weekend stay allows parties additional time in the Event Barn for set up, decorating, & rehearsal dinner as well as cleanup. The expansive grounds include several flower gardens, as well as open lawns, with wooded surroundings creating a picturesque outdoor space for ceremonies & entertaining guests. Our spacious event barn was recently renovated and can accommodate up to 150 guests. It’s the perfect space for parties, gatherings, rehearsal dinners, and receptions. The upstairs area has a beautiful stage and can be used for dancing, games, and music. Sherwood Gardens is a progressive, inclusive venue welcoming traditional as well as non-traditional weddings.

This fully equipped historic home which features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 sun-porches can sleep up to 16 guests and is an ideal space for family, friends, and wedding parties to prepare. Use of the house is included with venue rental.
