Everywhere I lived I've left a perennial garden behind. In college, I was taking a walk in the fall to unwind from exams collecting pods, dried flowers and grass as I went. Upon return I wove a wreath from my collection. A friend stopped by admired what I had done, she asked what was in it, I told her- oh, just a bunch of weeds.
