Hello! My name is Christian. I'm an artist. Whether camera shy or not, my couples and their friends or family have a great time with me and I make the experience pretty easy and enjoyable since I'm an awesome director. It has taken me a lot of studying, practice and natural talent to get to where I am today. I've documented over 600 weddings leaving many happy clients in many different areas of the world.

Awarded Best of Zola
The Talented Photographer was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Alec's communication style was fun, professional, and incredibly personable. He had a true passion for his craft that shone through in every interaction. The quality of Alec's work was absolutely stunning - we got a wonderful variety of candids, formal shots, and editorial-style pictures that captured all the special moments of our day. Alec has an incredible eye for the right shots, and the final photos are absolutely gorgeous. Despite a complicated location schedule that I was worried about, Alec made the whole day seamless, traveling to over 4 different spots to ensure we got all the groupings and special shots we wanted. Alec truly went above and beyond, and we had such a great time working with him. I'm obsessed with the pictures and would give him an 11/10 rating!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.

We are so happy we chose Lucia to capture our elopement. Lucia is professional, fast to respond to emails and texts, helpful with decisions, accommodating to any requests, concerns, and excited to give advice. Duncan and I really wanted our photographer to capture our true emotion and to get candids of us, and Lucia DID THAT! The day felt blissful and a key point for us was that we got to enjoy the day without it feeling solely like a photoshoot which I think speaks to Lucias talent and confidence in her craft. She was good at giving guiding advice for posing without us feeling posed. I put together a Pinterest board and shot list which she really did a great job pulling inspiration from. The photos are stunning and the exact style we envisioned. Also, our sneak peak was huge and she got them to us very fast. If you are torn between photographers or are just starting your research, you're in very safe hands to stop here. We hope to continue reaching out to Lucia in the future when we start a family.

Hi! I’m Jules. I like to think of myself as an artistic storyteller. I love capturing LOVE and have been a professional photographer for 12+ years (don’t let the baby face fool you). I want to know what makes you & your partner tick. Every couple is different & I love making your photos feel like YOU. (& for you to feel super hot, obv.) I would love to share full galleries with you and would be HONORED to create art with you on your dreamiest day! Storytelling is why I do this day in and day out. We don’t do boring over here ;)

Awarded Best of Zola
We are so so SO grateful we found Jules/Datura Photo to shoot our wedding. She did an incredible job capturing the emotions and the overall story of our day and we couldn’t be happier with ouyr wedding photos! We also utilized Jules for our videography and we are in love with our wedding video. You can really tell when you watch our video and look at our photos that we had a photographer who just loves love. She told our love story so beautifully. You can also tell that she knows so much about composition, lighting, etc. She does a great job with giving directions for where to stand and poses to do for those of us who know nothing about getting our picture taken. Not only is she an incredibly talented and gifted artist in her photography, but she is a total gem to work and spend the day with. She was also super communicative and professional throughout the entire process, went above and beyond and stayed late to get pics at our after party, and as an added bonus she was amazing with the kids in our wedding party and getting them to smile for the camera! We could literally go on and on about how amazing she was. We would highly recommend booking Datura Photo for any wedding, but especially if you want your photos to feel artsy, vintage, romantic, and emotional.

We cannot recommend Hannah enough!! From the moment we started working with her, she was an absolute joy—kind, flexible, and so much fun to be around. Hannah's ability to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera is a true gift. This was actually our second time working with her, as my sister had the pleasure of using Hannah for her wedding four years ago, and we knew right away we wanted her to capture ours, too. Her work is consistently stunning! We truly adore Hannah and are so grateful for the memories she has captured for our family. My heart beats for photographing a story worth telling, and finding the funny, quirky, moving little moments throughout that narrative. I always have a smile on my face and love, absolutely love to make people laugh. I can recite funny quotes and sing to you the cheesiest of songs. As cheesy as it may sound, I want to be your friend. I want to laugh throughout the whole day with you, making every moment so memorable and being right by your side to capture it. I want to keep in touch with you after, to see where life takes you!

All I can say I WOW! Andrea was the most amazing photographer to have on our wedding day. She communicated during the planning process and during the day of, responded quickly, and was such a joy to work with! She was extremely flexible and made our day completely stress free. Andrea is such a friendly and compassionate person, she made sure all the moments we wanted captured she knew about, and made amazing suggestions as she saw the types of photos we wanted. The photos them self are so amazing, every single moment was captured, nothing was missing at ALL! She really knows how to capture who you are as a couple (or person) so you have those moments forever. Thank you Andrea for everything!

The most consistent feedback I get from my couples is that I put them at ease. Almost everyone is uncomfortable in front of the camera, but that’s why I’m there — to help you look and feel great creating memories. Your wedding photographer is in your personal space on one of the most emotional days of your life - make sure the person in your corner is someone who adds to the joy on your day. With me, you get someone who can go with the flow, has your back, and seamlessly adapts to the energy in the room.

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions we made for our city hall elopement! She was absolutely incredible throughout the process. Jen was very communicative, easy-going, and kind. On our wedding day, she was well-prepared and immediately put us at ease with her warm and friendly demeanor. We are not the most comfortable in front of the camera, but Jen helped guide and pose us in a way that felt comfortable and effortless. We especially love the candid and real moments she captures. Out photos are truly everything we hoped for and more - stunning and timeless!

Hi, I’m Jenny. I’ve been photographing weddings around Seattle since 2008. I want to produce images that show all of the joy of your wedding day, that show how amazing your family is and just how sweet life can be. Weddings are groovy and I love people. Call me!

Awarded Best of Zola
Jenny...was awesome. That's an empty term these days. Costco gas is "awesome." Bottomless fries are "awesome." Seinfeld reruns are "awesome." No shade here -- nothing wrong with any of those things -- but that's not the meaning I'm trying to invoke. Jenny wasn't "awesome." Jenny...was *awesome.* She was professional: punctual and capable, organized and efficient, commanding when she needed to herd wayward in-laws and subtle when she needed to melt into the background. She was experienced: brimming with knowledge and advice when asked, but respectful of our goals and quick to pivot to facilitate our vision. She was artistic: keen-eyed and creative, nerding out over the possibilities afforded by every corner of our venue, a wizard with pixels and colors and light. But more than that, Jenny was warm. My wife and I would have been satisfied if she'd just been a killer photographer, and we'd walked away with dynamite pictures. Jenny? Jenny gave us SO much more. She was patient. She was funny. And she was exactly what we needed: her easy rapport with even the most oddball and camera-shy among our motley crew worked absolute wonders to make the smiles real and the day what it was. The stress just evaporated around her. I'm the third among my siblings to get married, and the second lucky enough to work with Jenny as a photographer. So I've seen her in action twice: once when I was an officiant, and once when I was the groom. And both times, she completely blew me away. So, with confidence, I say: Jenny is awesome.

What comes to mind when you think about your wedding day? For me, it’s the meaningful moments shared with the people you love most. While looking sharp and wearing a stunning dress is fun, it’s the big moments—and the small ones in between—that truly stay with you.

He's fun and easy to talk to and definitely makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera (normally something I'm very uncomfortable with). Based in the PNW, I'm a seasoned photographer with 17+ years crafting love stories through weddings and portraits. Originally from the Bay Area, I've transplanted my roots here but am still drawn back to California often. Photography is my enduring passion, evolving from a creative background in design. Clients cherish the candid moments I freeze in time and value my patience. What sets me apart is not just technical expertise but a personalized boutique experience, from choosing me as your photographer to saying "I do." Immerse yourself in the art of storytelling through my lens, turning your wedding day dreams into timeless memories.

We had booked another photographer whom we were no longer able to get in communication with closer to our wedding and but some luck found Joie who happened to be available on our wedding date! We were so lucky we found her when we did because Joie helped us tie up loose ends on our timeline and gave us ideas on best photo times and scenarios. We were also able to squeeze in a beautiful engagement session in San Francisco. We loved the city but Joie gave us some great insights on where to actually take the photos. On our wedding day, Joie was very thoughtful and made sure to take care of us all day long! We think its amazing that she was able to capture some of the candids that we wouldn't even have thought possible during our ceremony and reception and then gave us some absolutely dreamy sunset portraits! We can't thank Joie enough for the wonderful job that she did capturing our memories but more so than anything, treating us like we were friends and family and making the day feel so natural!

Hey all you cute love birds!!! I am a Boise area photographer, BUT I LOVE to travel and would absolutely kill to travel for you! Okay, not literally kill but ya know. I would love love to travel for you! I am a wedding photographer, who specializes in elopements and intimate weddings! Do I still offer more traditional big weddings? HELL YES. My business is all about creating exceptional experiences! I want to make sure your day is so special, and that you get the images of your dreams! I try to stray from the traditional, and go for more fun, unique experiences! If you're looking for that, let's get this party started!!

I had seen Jordan's photos on instagram and fallen in love with their aesthetic. I've been in traditional posed wedding photos as part of the wedding party and family in the past and I just never look like myself in them. I cannot pose and get very self-conscious if I know my picture is being taken. But having candid moments from the day really meant the world to me and that is what really resonated with me in Jordan's style; the documentary feel. Beyond this, there is this incredible eye for lighting and angle and capturing just the right moment that this duo (because it is Jordan and her husband, Trent) brings that I didn't find in any other portfolio I went through when looking for a photographer. She was super patient and understanding when walking me through the process on our introduction and every other subsequent call leading up to the day. We weren't going to be using engagement photos for the traditional announcements, but I had this idea of a wonderful series of photos at this location on the island where we were having the wedding that we could have as kind of our own celebration of our engagement and they were instantly on board and agreed to come out the day before to do those photos at that time. It ended up being a really lovely time for us 4 to bond and get used to each other so I highly recommend doing some kind of engagement photo session even if you're a photo-averse person like myself and the thought of doing more photos seems like the last thing you want to do. Jordan and Trent are so calm and relaxed that it made it really easy to be natural around them. And then on the day they were absolute rockstars. We were, as is surprising to maybe no one but us, running super late and they very gracefully helped manage our extended families and the venue to keep the pressure off us while still getting everything done they could. We showed up to the venue with 20 minutes to the ceremony and we somehow managed to get all our family photos (with toddlers and blended modern family combinations in the mix) and still be only 5 minutes late on the ceremony start. Then we snuck away for sunset photos and that ended up being this absolutely beautiful time we got to spend together during the reception, not awkward at all. And I truly think that's because of how natural and talented this duo are at their jobs. They were like the most lovely and helpful guests at the wedding, truly like having friends who are photographing the day for you. They made the day exactly what I hoped for, this beautiful, cherished time spent with family and friends in a magical place celebrating being all together and I cannot imagine my wedding without them there. I don't have the full album yet, but I do have the engagement photos and an absolutely breathtaking sneak peek of the day and they are so beautiful I almost don't believe it. Hopefully I won't need another wedding photographer (hahahaha) but if I do need family photos for the future they will be my first call.

When you elope in the middle of a pandemic, it matters all the more that you love your photographer--since they'll be the only other person at your wedding. :) And in short, we couldn't be happier that ours was Shawnee. She has such a gift and a love for the work she does—and it shows. We knew she was the right person from the moment we met on Zoom--she is warm and kind, asked all the right questions, and instantly put us at ease. My partner and I eloped at the end of October 2020 in DC, just before the election. It was a whirlwind moment for so many reasons, especially as a queer couple. And it mattered to us that the person who captured those treasured memories, really understood what that moment meant to us. Everyone who sees our photos marvels at how wonderful they are—and no doubt we look great, but Shawnee’s warmth and direction and stellar eye really made all the difference. Vibing with your photographer matters—we’re so grateful to have found one with such grace and as much love for her art as Shawnee. <3

Hi! I'm Dana Kae (she/her). The creator of the work you see here. With over 10 years of experience in photography, I specialize in boudoir, portraits, lifestyle, e-comm, and event photography and offer custom photography services to private clients and businesses both locally and worldwide.

I wanted something unconventional, and Dana Kae Photography verified and agreed to consider things to ensure the results were exactly what I wanted. She captured the beauty of our summer day, while also keeping the photos moody and romantic. Dana was so approachable from the start, and she was a pleasure to talk to throughout the process. I gave her a detailed schedule, knowing I hate sitting still for pictures, so we did 30 minutes of portraits with my partner and 30 minutes with family - the rest I wanted to be candid shots of our guests having fun. The final photos captured the day perfectly, and so many of our guests complimented Dana's work. She was even able to beautifully showcase all the effort we put into decorating our property for the wedding.
