We are Carli & Hamilton Dixon, artists and business owners in downtown Dayton for nearly a decade, and residents of downtown for over two decades. The Brightside is located in the 905 E. Third Street building, which was 18,000 sq. ft. filled with abandoned clothes and trash when we purchased it. But over the last 10 years, we have worked to clean it out, restore all of its services, and renovate it to become Dayton's newest music & event venue. It has been a long and difficult road, so we are thrilled to be at this point in the story. We invite you to stop in and introduce yourself soon; we truly look forward to welcoming you!

The Baum Opera House

Constructed by Charles Baum, a German immigrant and businessman, it began as the Star City Opera House, one of the finest in Ohio. For 135 years the Opera House has contributed to the culture and history of the city and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We have 2 bars, and 38 outside tables. Our front patio has a large stone gas fireplace and our back patio overlooks the pond.

She made sure the venue was decorated, vendors were where they needed to be, and our timeline went as scheduled. We didn't have to worry about a single detail on our wedding day!
