For over a century patrons have found comfort in this historic building nestled in the heights of the Meadowlands, presently home to Ivy Inn. Opened in the 1870’s as a stagecoach inn, travelers in horse and carriage along Polifly Road (later named Terrace Avenue) stopped here to eat and drink in the tavern below and sleep in one of six guest quarters above. After the turn of the 20th century, the inn evolved into a fine dining restaurant (a popular speakeasy during Prohibition), but eventually fell into disrepair. On Valentine’s Day of 1997, after extensive restoration, the inn once again opened its doors for fine dining, renamed Ivy Inn. Ivy, the symbol of love and marriage, has proven to be a fitting name. Located 2 ½ hours northwest of NYC, our holistic apple and pear orchard and working cidery provide breathtaking views of the Catskills and the Delaware River Valley. We offer both indoor and outdoor settings. You may stage your ceremony on a high ridge overlooking the Delaware River or nestled among the apple and pear trees. You may serve lunch or dinner in our award-winning Tasting Room or our elegant Wedding Tent. Our Executive Chef Jack Tippett has created seasonal catering menus that pair perfectly with our ciders.Included in the wedding package are the Mountain House and Cottage, sleeping ten guests. Additional lodging for 50 guests is available at the Boarding House and two houses in Callicoon, the small town just down the hill that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Graycliff is a wedding venue located in Moonachie, New Jersey that has helped thousands of couples create their dream wedding. The Graycliff offers multiple event spaces that can be used in combination for your special day. The Greenhouse is used for hosting intimate affairs such as, bridal and baby showers, and it is used in combination with our other spaces for our lavish cocktail hours. The Embassy is a beautifully lit space with sparkling chandeliers, the Forum has glistening spotlights highlighting a lovely marble dance floor, and lastly, our Grand Ballroom is our largest room that features two stunning gazebos, a spacious dance floor, and an extensive bar area. The property also has a Grecian-style gazebo that can be used for an outdoor ceremony, first look, or evening photos.
