While we allow alternative vendors, we are a full-service face with a wonderful variety or beverage and food menus. Our space is flexible and beautiful, and we're able to accommodate many different styles of event. We also offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for those who need them!

We were lucky to partner with Villanelle for their first official onsite event! CommunityHealth, a volunteer-based free health center just down the street, hosted our first in-person volunteer appreciation event since COVID(!) with Villanelle and couldn't have been happier with the experience - from initial planning to day-of to swift wrap-up. Though not a wedding, we benefited from all of the things Villanelle does wonderfully - prompt and warm communication, flexible pricing options to meet our budget, flexibility with the space, setup, music, timing of catering to make sure all fit with our plans, super tasty food and beverage options, etc etc etc. The space is beautiful and has enough personality to stand on its own and also allow for customization as desired, the photo booth (RIP Berlin) was a great add-on, and the whole team was lovely to work with. We're so glad to have Villanelle in the neighborhood creating inviting queer spaces for celebration. 3

My wife & I recently had a wedding reception event at Concord Fifty Five and we were very pleased. The location is perfect for an event, the layout is well designed and flexible enough to plan any affair. We all enjoyed the indoor/outdoor experience and our guests were amazed. I'm still getting questions from people that attended wondering about this location. It was definitely a hit and the talk of the event. Not to mention; working with the staff was very pleasant for us and the vendors we were working with. We definitely recommend Concord Fifty Five for your planning needs.

A beautiful venue and easy to work with in terms of management, but I had something stolen during the event. It was stolen from a space that staff and vendors had access to. I informed the manager and recommended in future, they either keep an office open and locked for secure use or a safe for people to store items in if needed.

As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.

Our wedding at Barrelhouse the Venue was perfect. Everything went exactly as we had hoped. It’s such an interesting historic building and Michigan City is a great place to visit.
