With great pride, the Kenilworth Park District has preserved this community gem to be Chicago’s premier North Shore wedding and event venue. A location full of history and adoration, this Prairie-Style masterpiece was designed in 1907 by famed architect, George W. Maher and is a proud member of the National Register of Historic Places. Featuring an event capacity up to 200 for a seated dinner and 300 for a cocktail-style party, the Kenilworth Assembly Hall brings an elegant and intimate charm while allowing customization to make each event its own. Couples are encouraged to dream big and utilize all of our gorgeous indoor & outdoor spaces to make their wedding day dreams come true.

Chicago’s premier North Shore historic wedding venue! This 1907 Prairie-style masterpiece seamlessly combines historic features with modern amenities.

With vaulted ceilings, original hardwood floors, magnificent lotus flower stained glass windows and an impressive stage, the expansive Grand Ballroom radiates classic arts and crafts-style beauty. Featuring a comfortable event capacity of up to 200 for your ceremony and seated dinner, or 300 for a stand up cocktail-style party. The beautiful stage can showcase your bridal party or allow your band or DJ to have a prominent spot in your wedding.

Room cost

Fridays and Saturdays: $3,750 for 6 hours, $4,500 for 8 hours. Sundays: $3,000 for 6 hours, $3,500 for 8 hours. Weekdays: $1,000 for 6 hours, $1,300 for 8 hours. Inquire for Holiday rates.

As a caterer, I love working with the Kenilworth Assembly Hall! There is lots of space to work with for a flexible floor plan, a beautiful yard for outdoor ceremonies and can accomodate many different guest counts. Michelle's professionalism and quick response times make planning a breeze as well!

One of the most beautiful venues to work at- The staff is always so helpful - the venue is very clean and the kitchen area is kept perfect. It comes with everything you would need to host an event - Perfect for the new smaller events to celebrate any occasion - Looking forward to wonderful events in the coming years !!!

All alcohol is priced per person and must be purchased through our Hall. We have several carefully procured Liquor Packages to choose from which has something for everyone. Not only can you choose what type of alcohol you would like to offer, but you can also choose the number of hours you would like your bar to be open. It’s a nice way to completely customize your beverage package!

There is ample street parking available around the Assembly Hall but we can also arrange for valet parking for an additional fee if preferred.

Yes, all our facility and washrooms are wheelchair accessible. We also have a ramp at the rear entrance of our building.

Your reservation includes six or eight hours for your event. You get two hours of set-up time outside of your rental time and one hour after for clean-up.

•90 days or more before event: Full refund of initial deposit •60-89 days before event: 50% refund of initial deposit •59 days or fewer before event: Initial deposit forfeited

Yes, you can purchase one day event insurance or leave a driver's license and credit card in case of any damages.
