“**Dr. Beat was absolutely incredible!** We had **Mike and Gene** as our DJ and MC, and they made our night unforgettable. From our very first phone call, we knew we’d made the right choice — they gave off great vibes, were professional, and truly delivered. Everything was perfect, from the rustic façade of the DJ booth to the cocktail hour playlist (which sounded like something we would’ve made ourselves) to the incredible reception music. They were honest, familiar with our venue (Toast in Patchogue), and never tried to upsell us. Mike took the time to go over our preferences beforehand, and he just *got it*. They understood the assignment and gave us a night we’ll never forget. The dance floor was packed the entire evening — not a single person left on the first shuttle because no one wanted to stop dancing, not even my 91-year-old grandma who stayed until the very end! They paid close attention to every detail — from our final dance song to the special tribute song for my brother and every request in between. Throughout the night, they checked in with us to make sure we were happy, seamlessly made announcements to gather guests for photos or speeches, and kept the energy high from start to finish. If you’re debating between hiring just a DJ or a DJ and MC — **get both!** It makes such a difference. The DJ can focus on mixing while the MC hypes up the crowd and keeps everything running smoothly. Our only “complaint” was that the dance floor was *too crowded* — exactly what we wanted! Cocktail hour was perfect — the volume, vibe, and timing were spot-on. Since they knew the layout of Toast, they easily set up music in a separate room with zero issues. The night flowed perfectly; there wasn’t a single awkward pause or song we wanted to skip. It was a nonstop party with amazing energy. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. If you’re reading this, stop comparing and **just book them** — you won’t regret it. And for anyone thinking a playlist and speaker could replace pros like this… trust me, you have no idea what you’d be missing. We’ve had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that they were on the dance floor all night — that’s entirely thanks to Mike and Gene. If I ever need a DJ and MC again, they’ll be my first call. And if they’re not available, I’ll change the date. Would give **10 stars out of 5** if I could. “When we first started looking at DJ’s and music for our wedding, I originally wanted a violinist and/or cellist. I met with one business, they were late and unprofessional but the price seemed reasonable for two musicians. That same night we met with Kenny and the difference was substantial. Kenny was on time, had a presentation ready to go, was incredibly professional, and highly personable. We met several times throughout the planning process and felt very comfortable with him. He’s so down to earth and really lets you know he is there for you, not anyone else. Kenny is worth every single cent, he was our favorite wedding vendor. The communication was impeccable. We did not have a wedding planner, with my type A personality and Kenny’s expertise, we stayed perfectly on time, announcements were seamless, and it was truly such a great day. At the end of the reception, day of, I asked to dedicate a song to my husband (“Shout” #gobills) and at first Kenny thought he didn’t have it. But guess what… we ended the wedding with our closest friends singing and cheering on our Buffalo Bills. It was a moment we will never forget, all thanks to Kenny.
