We worked with The Hook Club on an ambitious two-day wedding, which included them doing live sound for our Friday welcome party, live sound for the music at our ceremony, some deep cut requests, and our desire to not just have "another wedding band." What we got was an incredibly talented, creative, and kind group of people who were ready to make whatever we wanted happen, ready to add ideas and layers, and who then completely blew away our expectations. We're in that era of our lives where we've been to about 100 weddings in the last 10 years, and we can honestly say that no band has even come close to The Hook Club. A year later everyone is still talking about how great our band was. After choosing second song, they allowed us to set up phone calls to interview DJ's to find the perfect fit for us. We ended up choosing DJ Daniel Cabral. Daniel was attentive and set up multiple meetings with us prior to our wedding to discuss our vision for our wedding day. Everything ran perfectly throughout the entire day. The audio for our ceremony was perfect and the music selections throughout cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception set the mood for our wedding. We also hired a string trio through second song and they did a beautiful job at our ceremony and cocktail hour. Our reception was a party and Daniel made sure people were on the dance floor all night long. We also had my cousin play the trumpet at our reception while Daniel played a song in the background. Daniel mic'd up his trumpet for us and it was such a hit! We also got our Photo Booth through second song and they provided the uplighting at the venue! They are everything you could want from a DJ service and more!! If you are looking for a DJ service, second song is the way to go!!!!”

“If you’re looking for your DJ to give great vibes and your MC to lead the way, you’re in the right place! Mike immediately picked up on mine and my partner’s music preference and vision for the wedding and helped us craft a playlist to keep guests jumping all night long. But there’s more to a DJ than just keeping the party alive. From the groom’s entrance during the ceremony, well into cocktail hour, and through the end of the night, Mike transitioned the events seamlessly into one another. MC Matt was awesome, also. During the cocktail hour before we got whisked away, I noticed Matt talking to our wedding coordinator so that he could help announce seating arrangements, and tiny dinner details to the crowd. Another example I can think of is during our cocktail hour, Matt learned that I’m a hobbyist baker and immediately announced to the crowd that the bread being served came straight out of my oven that day! Honestly you don’t find that kind of enthusiasm from someone ‘going through the motions’. One great little touch about working with 949 Studios is that they had very flexible payment schedules. A huge plus once the dozens of Zelle payments started making a dent in my bank account. My only regret about working with Mike and Matt was that I didn’t get to have a drink with them the night of - they’re two great guys who kept us vibing all night long.”

“I am a wedding photographer & had the pleasure of working a wedding in the summer of the chaotic 2020 season with Adam. Adam isn't just a team player but really pours his heart and soul in to his clients. He is in tune with listening to wants & needs couples have as well as being incredibly in tune with the vibe of the room. The day we worked together was full of adventure. We had to tweak some things, adjust normal set-ups, but still provide quality service which he knocked out of the park. He also works as a team! He helped me get everything set up for a sparkler send off that we had to move up due to the possibility of rain. Not always ideal for DJs because people think it's the end of the night, however he actually made sure to adjust a speaker so that you could still hear music from where we were and then as soon as the couple came through the sparkler tunnel cranked the music up to draw everyone back to the dance floor. From a photographer perspective he could have said no, could have stayed out of the whole thing, but instead he jumped right in helping line guests up & even helping light sparklers to get things moving. The most memorable part of the evening was about an hour from last song, the skies opened up and it torrentially downpoured. Adam & his gear were positioned just slightly outside the tent so we all helped to get his gear moved in to a safer spot all while he never stopped playing the music. It wasn't a quick move either because the water was coming under the tent to as the run off for the rain on the patio came through the center of two tents. So while it is pouring, we are adjusting & replacing his gear he is still making sure the music didn't stop. It was something I won't ever forget, but also showed how adaptable, flexible & versatile Adam as. On top of being an incredible team player. I'm looking forward to working with him again in the future & you should ABSOLUTELY hire him & his team! They ROCK!”

Jesse was extremely helpful in providing us recommendations and telling us what would work well. On wedding day they showed up on time and played music as our guests were entering the church. They also were able to go to our venue afterwards to play for cocktail hour. As requested, Jesse and Justin played mainly jazz and added some Disney flare per our request. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed listening to Jesse and Justin during cocktail hour and how they added a nice ambiance. The couple loved x files and she was made aware and went out of her way to play the x files theme song as a surprise for them. Also, there was an inside joke with a cardboard cutout of Danny Devito. When they did a couples dance she even joked about how if someone didn’t have a partner they could dance with Danny. She was very personable and even helped clear plates in her free time. In addition, there was an issue where the hired officiant didn’t show up on time. I called Live Events as a back up and the owner Dennis told me he was an hour and a half away at another wedding but would come immediately. He rushed to our aid even when I told him the other officiant finally showed up. He showed up ready to help in any way he could. This company is top notch in all they do. Professional, polite, friendly, fun and ready to exceed your expectations. The only mistake you could make on your wedding day would be not hiring them.”

He also went above and beyond to pull heroics the day of to get some of our DIY spot lighting set up that wasn't set up the night prior. Rob was incredible to work with, and just as fun to chat with. We emailed several times since then with what I thought were annoying or silly questions, but he answered everything in full detail and even spoke on the phone with me several times. Going above and beyond, he even went as far as telling me about how the ceremony usually goes and what others have done (as I was pretty confused). He was able to play every random song I requested. He played piano along with a violinist for my ceremony, and had a awesome saxophone player, Geoff for part of my reception.
