The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700's. That same family built the house in 1869, and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. After meeting and marrying in Greenville in 1989, Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves moved to Bo's family farm in Union Point, Georgia. Here, they began the work of remodeling the 150-year-old farmhouse and surrounding grounds. As their two kids grew older, Bo and Ruby decided to build a new house overlooking the Ogeechee River further back on the property in 2007. With the help of Erin and Stanton Porter, The Corry House held its first wedding in 2010. At that time, we didn't have our reception barn or the meadow and forest wedding sites. Folks got married in the garden or in front of the farmhouse. After a few years of weddings, Bo and Ruby decided to run with it and built our temperature-controlled barn in 2014.

The Rosewood Ballroom is a beautiful and adaptable event venue, perfect for parties, weddings, and corporate events. Located in the heart of downtown Macon, the ballroom features large arches to support the vaulted ceiling, drawing attention to the breathtaking stained-glass skylight, patterned with roses. The renovations honor the history and beauty of the building while serving as a functional space to create precious memories.
