“My wife Emily and I could not have asked for a better spot to celebrate our wedding. The venue itself is straight out of a postcard: well-tended lawns and blueberry fields surround a classic New England bed home and post-and-beam barn, which mix classic charm with modern updates and all the amenities you could hope for. We stayed in the wedding suite, a sun-filled, comfortable space with great views where we could slip away from the hubbub for a few minutes alone, and jump right back into the party as soon as we were ready. The field in front of the house, where we held our ceremony, overlooks a panoramic view of forested islands, the sailboat-dotted cove, and the ocean beyond.
The staff at Sea Winds was as lovely as the place itself. The venue manager and coordinator maintained open, consistent communication with our vendors and our wedding planner, ensuring that everything went smoothly during planning, setup, and on the day itself. The competence and hard work of the folks at Sea Winds allowed Emily and me to focus on simply enjoying the day, instead of stressing about details and logistics.
All in all, our wedding was amazing, full of laughter and love, spontaneity and joy, great food and music and a felt sense of community. During and after the event, one guest after another remarked that it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding. Of course, this had everything to do with the incredible work of our vendors, our planner, our band, and of course the crew at Sea Winds. But it also had to do with the magic of the place itself, this home and property that has been stewarded with care for so many years, that has hosted many a joyous gathering, that is imbued with the warmth of the dappled sun and the refreshing breeze coming in off the ocean. Simply put, Sea Winds is magic, and that magic elevated our wedding from a well-planned, enjoyable event to an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience.”
