“Seawinds, oh my, a place right out of a novel. Breathtaking views, with an historic seafaring history it served as the perfect venue for our daughters’ wedding. Living on the West Coast, we had many options for picture-postcard venues and were fortunate to have a family member mention this hidden beauty on the East coast. Worth every mile travelled as we stepped onto a gem tucked away near Brooksville, Maine. Fantastic picturesque views of Penobscot bay, a barn and home from the mid 1800’s on 100 acres of pristine fields puts you at ease right from the start. Wild blueberries grow all around you, tempting you to stop and snack as you wander about. It’s peaceful, serene and surreal with gentle sea breezes coursing through the tall grass to lull you into a dreamlike state. .
There is plenty of space for parking on the venue site, plenty of room to roam, and several intimate areas for either large or smaller events. It’s an ideal setting for pictures and building lasting memories. Our hosts were very accommodating and fun to work with and assisted us with housing and all the details. We also enjoyed the little town of Brooksville. Charming East Coast setting with plenty to explore.
While ours was a smaller wedding, there is so much space that it can easily accommodate a larger event.
We can’t say enough about our choice to have an event here. This Father of the Bride truly enjoyed it all.”
