Glass House is a unique event space in the North Loop of Minneapolis located inside the facility of Hennepin Made, a local company founded in 2011 drawing on traditional glassblowing techniques to craft hand-blown accents that blur the line between everyday object and modern art. The space’s original concrete floors, cinderblock walls, and steel beam construction have been re ned and accentuated by modern elements to create a beautiful backdrop that blends past and present. Our building at 147 Holden Street was constructed in 1955 as a glass warehouse and mirror manufacturing plant for the Ford McNutt Company. Hennepin Made acquired the property in 2016 from Brinn Glass in order to expand their operations and grow their vision to connect people through craft. Thus, Parallel Cafe + Holden Room were created.

The park was originally named Douglas Triangle for the street on which it is located. The name was officially changed to Mt. Curve Triangles (plural), on November 4, 1925, when the previous Mt. Curve Triangle was renamed Fremont Triangle. The park was officially named in honor of Thomas Lowry in 1984. Lowry is best known for developing the street railway system in Minneapolis. The Lowry Hill neighborhood, in which the park is located, was named because he owned most of the land and built his imposing mansion on the hill.

612Brew is a locally owned craft brewery tucked in the corner of the historic Broadway Building in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis. The Hollywood Theater is an iconic Art Deco landmark in Northeast Minneapolis. When it opened in 1936, the theater was described as “the incomparable showcase of the Northwest’’. After years of decline, the theater closed in 1987 and was purchased by the city of Minneapolis. Twenty-five years of inaction and neglect followed until 2014 when the National Park Service recognized the building’s historical significance and listed it on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2015 the theater was sold to Northeast-resident and entrepreneur Andrew Volna, who saved the building and restored its original Art Deco splendor. Today it is ready to host your event.
