“We got married at Owl’s Nest Resort on 10/7/23 and it was truly a dream come true. Our wedding day turned out better than I could have ever imagined and I wish we could re live the day over and over again! The entire staff at Owl’s Nest went above and beyond to make us feel special on our wedding weekend and everything turned out perfect. The venue is stunning in and of itself and I truly feel that it’s the best place to get married. Our guests loved all the amenities on-site including activities, dining and lodging and how beautiful the LakeHouse was. After my original coordinator left, Gail took over and made sure everything was perfect for our day and it was! She was a pleasure to work with. The Community Sailing Center is a lively hub on the shores of Lake Champlain, less than a mile from downtown Burlington, VT, where community members and visitors gather to laugh, learn, and play on the lake together. In 2017, the Community Sailing Center completed construction of the first new building on the Burlington Waterfront in over 20 years. Starting in 2018, this beautiful new facility is available to the community to rent for gatherings and events. “If we could get married here again we would! Sailing Center was a joy to work with, very communicative and helpful, always ready to open their doors to us for umpteen visits to the deck during the planning stage or to lend us supplies like the elegant lights we had hanging overhead on the big day. The wedding itself was a dream. We got married in summer on the large third floor outdoor covered deck with a breathtaking view of Lake Champlain. Sunset made for GREAT pictures on the promenade and nearby dock. We had no problems with all our vendors getting set up and there was more than enough room for both dining area and dance floor for our ~80ish guests. You also get access to a neat attached observation deck, there is a commercial elevator for easy up and down transfer of all rental items, and bathrooms one level down. Just make sure to plan ahead for parking which is metered and public, but there are plenty of spots. It was the best night of our lives!”

Located just a mile from downtown Burlington, the Intervale Center's renovated 1860s Community Barn offers a convenient, rustic, and picturesque setting for your special day. Say your “I do’s” in a quaint ceremony outside on the venue’s gorgeous green grounds surrounded by stunning trees, bushes, and of course, your happy loved ones.

“I love the Intervale Center, it is so beautiful! I knew that by choosing to get married there in July, we could really cut back on our decorations and let the landscaped grounds really shine. This venue is very conveniently located to Burlington, VT, but doesn't feel like you're in a city. It feels quiet and somewhat secluded. The rental/site fee was very affordable (and what you pay goes to a good cause!) and their guide book/post-booking-brochure is really helpful. They provide tables and chairs which are probably ample if you are having a small shindig, though you will likely want to cover the tables as they are not very pretty! Or you can always rent tables and chairs at additional cost. Most of what they offer is very DIY, so get some friends together (we set up in less than an hour with our friends). Our wedding here was pretty low-key with about 40 guests, but I think this could work for more formal gatherings too. My top of mind words to describe it would be "Pretty, local, affordable".”
