It's been six years and I've photographed close to 100 weddings which seems unreal! The photography gene runs in my family, my great-grandfather had his own photography studio in Panama and from there, knowledge of photography was passed down through the generations of my family to me. My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment. Soon, friends and then friends of friends asked me to photograph their children and families. Before long, I was documenting the lives and milestones of people all over the DMV area. I realized how happy I was connecting with people and capturing special moments, and so I launched Lotus Photography in 2012 - named for my first muse. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
