Monroe Bay Vineyard is located on the water near Colonial Beach on the original birthplace Farm of our 5th President James Monroe. We have secluded and tranquil waterfront land to plan your perfect day. We have a large, unique barn made of natural, recycled materials of strawbales for insulation and recycled wine bottles for light and design. You no longer see the strawbales in the wall as they have been covered with a hydraulic lime the same material castles in France for hundreds of years have been made from. The inside is a museum quality white lime finish with unique curves with sun shining through the patterned wine bottle walls to give a unique backdrop.

The Woolen Mill & The Silk Mill offer a unique piece of history as the perfect backdrop to any couple’s specific tastes and provide a timeless atmosphere. Both venues were originally factory buildings in 1800s, and today the spaces provide an open and inviting space for 50-300 guests while still providing a personal and intimate setting. Each venue is truly it’s own and “one of a kind”. Both venues offer their own individual parking, ceremony and reception spaces, and getting-ready suites.

This reclaimed warehouse is a two-minute walk from the Van Dorn Metro station on the Blue line. The Wharf Dockmaster Building is located at the end of District Pier and your rental includes the space on the pier around it. You have wrap around balconies and 270 degree views of the river and boats, plus the Washington Monument. Your rental gives you the building for the day so you can do any advance decorating, load in etc. It is unfurnished space – typically your caterer will coordinate tables, chairs etc. and help you design the look you want. Our inside capacity is typically 100 seated dinner style or 140-150 standing cocktail style.
