The Heard Craig Art Center & Museum has private parking in downtown McKinney with a private garden, gazebo, and Carriage House. The Wells Lamont Glove Factory was built in 1951, providing new industrial opportunities for the people of Mount Vernon. Since then, it has served as a manufacturing space for several other businesses. In 2020, the Copeland Family purchased the vacant property with a goal of reviving the excitement the building had brought to the town in the fifties. Our family moved to Mount Vernon in 2009.
