About this venue

The Brown Estate of LSCO, with its classic simplicity, offers a truly stunning backdrop for any and all special occasions. A beautiful scene for weddings, banquets or corporate events and retreats, the Brown Estate encompasses nearly 20,000 square feet with 14 rooms, including six bathrooms and two foyers. Each room holds history and tells a story of a simpler, yet more majestic time. Architecturally, the Brown Estate is an achievement, both in strength and grace, and has held its inherent beauty for nearly 60 years.

Our event spaces

Solarium

In 1965, Mr. Edgar and his second wife, Smitty, added the solarium, which he called his "Little Astrodome". Some of the grandchildren were getting married and they thought it would be a great place to hold the weddings. The stone in the indoor fountain came from the hill country in West Texas where Mr. Edgar owned a ranch. This is the room in which we hold most of our wedding ceremonies, meetings, luncheons, dinners, and conferences. The room has a spectacular view of the grounds and outdoor fountain.

Included in this room:

Use of indoor chairs, tables, and elegant table linens in white or ivory. Use of feather pen, portrait easels, cake knives, and 2 flutes for toasting. Setup of cake tables, bar, dining table, reception tables, silverware, and glassware. Glass candle lamps for reception tables. One punch bar, coffee service, and water service. Changing rooms available 3 hours prior to event when ceremony is held on site. Use of keyboard for your performer if requested. Complimentary cake cutting service.
