Krumbs Cakes

5.0

  • Starts at $45
  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

"I live for the moment when my customers see their incredible edibles for the very first time. Nothing brings me more joy than watching their faces light up with great big smiles. The extreme satisfaction is what gets me every time. Knowing I make dreams come true is why I love what I do."

Christian’s cakes are delicious! A friend who was married in 2021 recommended Krumbs Cakes to us and I am so glad she did! Christian is so friendly and easy to work with, we loved our tasting and everything he makes is delicious! We went with a small 3-tiered cake in the cactus blossom flavor and a sheet cake in chocolate Kahlua. All of our guests loved the cake and I’m excited to order a mini version for our anniversary in 2024!

I've enjoyed mochi donuts from other businesses but someone told me I had to try Mochata and I'm glad I took their word for it. Best mochi donuts hands down that I've had in a long time! I reached out to Erik to inquire about catering mini mochi donuts for my wedding in March 2024 and his customer service was on a whole other level. He was so personable and friendly that I just wanted to order just because of that (go small businesses go!). I asked if he had samples to try and he gladly made a batch and I ended up ordering 5 dozen mini donuts. Everyone at my wedding LOVED them. So much that I didn't even get to have any myself during reception! What stands out the most about Mochata's donuts is that the flavor is actually IN the donut itself. Not just the icing that we're all used to. And the texture? Exactly the way a mochi should taste. Flavors? ON POINT!! The toppings are very generous, especially the Cookies N Cream and Mint Oreo. My absolute favorites are Coconut Pandan, Ube and Strawberries N Cream and my husband always goes for the Mint Oreo. Now that it's post-wedding, I've been having cravings so I ordered more just for my family and I to enjoy. I haven't tried all the flavors yet but I have no doubt that they all taste delicious. I also recently got myself a Thai Horchata drink. I never thought about combining the two flavors together and it was super good! Now I feel like I need to try every flavor of that as well. Thank you Erik for being able to make my wedding day even more special! Definitely plan to be a regular customer for whenever I have a craving.

Auntie Viv's

5.0

  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

Auntie Viv's is an AAPI woman-owned & family operated small business adventure. When we visited Maui for the first time, and I fell in love at “first taste” with my very first Hawaiian shave ice. How I describe this phenomenon: “It literally was like a deliciously flavored, puffy cloud that instantly melted in my mouth & tasted like liquid gold. It was the best epicurean experience ever." I had my sights set on opening my own shave ice business & spending more time with my husband & two young daughters. I found myself being unhappy, working really long hours & it took a toll on my physical & mental health. Auntie Viv's opened Sept. 2017.

We hired Auntie Viv to help cater shave ice at our event and it was a huge success. The communication and planning was a breeze and it took all of the stress out of our event! Their setup was professional and friendly. They had a smiling team of 3 that made for an efficient and quick setup and added really good vibes to our space. The shave ice itself was incredible! Our guests loved to choose their own creations and many went back for seconds! Vivian is so pleasant to work with and you will be happy if you book Auntie Viv for your next event.

Raised in Ukraine, I grew up loving the delectable European cakes my mother would bake from scratch. This experience cultivated my love for sweets and baking, and taught me to appreciate desserts that offer both exceptional flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

The quality of their work is excellent - the cakes are extraordinary and delicious, beautifully crafted and unforgettable for our couples' special day. My husband and I ordered a small wedding cake for our special day and it was wonderful. We requested something simple yet elegant with flowers, and the execution was beautiful. We both loved the complex black sesame flavor (rare for a cake in our city) and I’m still drooling thinking about it! I would definitely order a cake from PQ again, especially for special occasions like birthdays or renewing our vows.

Sf Candy Bar

5.0

  • Serves Pleasanton, CA

When I opened SF Candy Bar in 2012, the business was busy from the start. In 2012, the economy was just coming out of a recession and Silicon Valley started to attract top talent from all over the world. Experiential add on features, like our candy buffets, was fun at office parties, trade shows and holiday parties. Brides and Mitzvahs also found so much joy in our services. Fast forward to more than a decade later, we have added on more services from popcorn buffets, custom packaged party favors, and trail mix buffets. SF Candy Bar is dedicated to providing stunning buffet designs to guests at special events.

SF Candy Bar was the perfect addition to our wedding, and they truly delivered a 5-star experience. The dessert and candy buffet was a stunning centerpiece that wowed our guests. From elegant macarons and gourmet chocolates to nostalgic candies, every treat was as delicious as it was beautifully presented. The setup was flawless, with intricate displays that matched our wedding theme perfectly. The team was professional, attentive, and made sure everything was seamless, allowing us to enjoy our special day without worry. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the sweet treats, and SF Candy Bar added that extra touch of magic to our celebration. Rating: 5 Stars

We had the best experience working with Karlie & Story Cake Studio! Karlie created the most amazing and delicious cake and cupcakes for us, all customized to match our wedding theme and align with dietary restrictions. We were astounded when we got to our wedding and saw how perfectly Karlie had decorated the cake and cupcakes to match our wedding aesthetic. Additionally, everything was absolutely incredible! Our guests' favorite desserts were the chocolate espresso cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream and candied hazelnuts which were made vegan and gluten-free. Our vegan vanilla chai cake was beautiful and so delicious! Thank you, Karlie, for making our vision come to life!

After completing the prestigious baking and pastry arts degree program at CIA, she held positions at some of San Francisco’s top bakeries, including Craftsman & Wolves, Susie Cakes, and most recently Pastry Chef at the popular Jane on Larkin.

Not only was our cake absolutely stunning, with sugar flowers that no one believed were not real, but it was also GLUTEN FREE!! Secret Kitchen SF

I really love cakes and desserts. Like, I REALLY love them! I have professional training in the tastiest pastry areas: from chocolates to caramels, classic to modern European cakes. The wedding dessert table is the happiest place in the world, and my aim is to provide that for your big day.

We were looking for a wedding cake in San Francisco that wouldn't be too sweet, like most of them are. I also wanted the cake to reflect the floral theme I chose for my wedding. We asked for a consultation with Secret Kitchen SF and I knew right away Elena was the one for me! We discussed cake size and design options, and we opted for buttercream flowers as they are so pretty and also edible!   I was soooo pleased to see our cake on my wedding day! It was exactly what I wanted my wedding cake to be, and it was incredibly tasty. There were no leftovers because people went back for seconds.   I would highly recommend Elena at Secret Kitchen as your cake artist.

We were both coincidentally booked by the same client for a summer wedding at Chapel On The Hill. Collaborating with them was easy because we've worked together before. They are always prepared and professional. Given that it was a summer wedding, they arrived with their own coolers and ice packs to keep their desserts at optimal temperature. It was a smart move too since there was= not enough refrigeration on site.
