“From the moment we started working with Emma at Castle Ladyhawke, we were impressed by their quick, efficient, and warm communication style. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, with an authentic, charming feeling that made our wedding day feel truly special. The food was fantastic and despite complications it was a beautiful and magical day. While our initial coordinator, Emma, was great to work with over the 8 months leading up to the wedding, we were disappointed to learn upon arrival that she would not be there on the day. Her replacement, Kelsie, arrived late, did not have our updated documents, failed to communicate with the vendors that there was a space for them on the third floor, and seemed to lack the positive energy and personal responsibility we had come to expect. There were also a few small hiccups, like the arch being set up incorrectly initially. But overall, we had a wonderful, memorable day for us and our guests.”

We’re John & Jaime Boling, and we turned our corporate blahs into a fabulous dream with Milepost 1808! Growing up on southern farms, we always yearned to get back to our roots. With six years of event planning experience from Greenville Magazine, I thrived on the buzz of big bashes. Then, two years ago, we dove into planning our daughter’s wedding, and bam! I was hooked on the joy of it all! So, we took a bold leap, snagged 30 acres, and rolled up our sleeves to transform our vision into reality: an agricultural paradise, a horse boarding haven, and a stunning event venue! Fast forward to August 2024, and our event barn is finally ready to rock! We can’t wait to bask in all the love as families and friends come together to celebrate. I mean, who doesn’t love a good love story, right?

From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly responsive and attentive, going above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful ambiance both during the day and in the evenings. The gorgeous views of the countryside were the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. When we had to suddenly change venues due to a hurricane, the team at Milepost 1808 worked tirelessly to help us move everything in just one week's time. Their hard work paid off, as our wedding day was truly magical. On top of their exceptional service, Milepost 1808 is also very reasonably priced. We were even able to take our bridal portraits with one of their gorgeous horses, Autumn, and the results were breathtaking. I cannot recommend this venue enough for any couple looking to have an unforgettable wedding day.”

“We stayed at The Westin Poinsett Greenville for my daughter's wedding weekend. Our family, the groom's family, and many extended family and friends also stayed at the hotel. In addition to being in the heart of Greenville, the hotel is well-appointed with a sense of southern charm and elegance. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel lobby was a great gathering space for friends and family and the hotel restaurants and bars were easily accessible from the lobby. The hotel rooms and suites were clean, quiet and the views of the city were perfect! Throughout the weekend, we had several beautiful events at The Westin Poinsett including the Bridal Brunch, Wedding Reception and Farewell Breakfast. Each of these events was unique and the food and service were outstanding. By the end of the weekend, we felt like we were friends with the staff. Words cannot express how amazing Sarah Baker and the entire hotel staff were in coordinating and executing these special events. Throughout the planning process for each one, Sarah's communication was highly professional and consistent. She is knowledgeable, accommodating, and organized.
