“We had a great time working with Jamie! The planning process was a breeze thanks to his approachability and enthusiasm. He was super responsive via email and he addressed all our questions and offered advice for our ceremony songs. It was so fun discussing music with him too during the planning meeting—his knowledge of music is vast and from the get-go we knew we were going with a DJ who not only knew his stuff but also totally understood our music taste. He blended indie rock/folk and ’70s rock perfectly for the cocktail hour and dinner, and for dancing he stuck to a fun ’80s / new wave set list. He used vinyl throughout the night and threw in some fun surprises (we loved the Julee Cruise during dinner). He also put his own spin on some guest requests, like playing a double length version of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” with an extended instrumental breakdown. “We were concerned about having to rent a noisy generator for our 30 minute beach ceremony, but thanks to azbestdj.com, our dream wedding near Pt. Dume became a reality! They used an innovative lithium-ion battery pack, eliminating the need for a gasoline generator. The beach ceremony setup with wireless mic was perfect for the windy day. The reception, complete with DJ lights, was a blast, keeping the dance floor packed. “When my husband and I started planning our wedding two years ago, we agreed right away that we both wanted a live band for the reception - it was the most important thing for both of us, as we knew we wanted that kind of energy in the room. As we researched bands (mostly through wedding-themed websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot), we came across the Lucky Devils Band and saw all of their good reviews. There are a lot of other bands you can find in and around Los Angeles, but they had one really big advantage that most other bands didn’t - regularly scheduled showcases where you could see them perform live. LDB were actually the first band we seriously considered, but we still did our due diligence and looked into a lot of other bands. We said to each other - we can’t just book the first band we find! Well, we ended up doing just that, and it was the best decision we made! Not only do they make it easy for couples to come see them live, they are also talented, professional, and truly affordable. Mike Smirnoff, the musician/producer who was our main point of contact was super responsive, friendly, and remembered us from early on (we ended up attending a lot of their showcases because we just enjoyed hearing them live!). The small downside to the band is that because they are essentially a collective, you won’t necessarily know which musicians will be playing on the day of your event, however, Mike took into account all of our specific requests for certain members we saw at each of their showcases, and he secured everyone that we had wanted. We had a six-piece band, which included two versatile musician/singers (Andrew on guitar & vocals, and Jason on keyboard and vocals) so we got the most bang for our buck. Kaitlyn was amazing on vocals, and Mark was killer on sax, with Dimitri on bass and Mike himself on drums rounding out the band. We got SO many compliments from our guests all night long - including from his parents, who are VERY picky about music, and from other friends who are composers/musicians themselves. Our wedding was in March, right as the pandemic panic was kicking into high gear - and we were very stressed about the cancellations and our own fears, but when the music started playing, we forgot about all of it and danced until we couldn’t feel our feet. We highly recommend the Lucky Devils Band to all couples!! Get yourselves to a showcase and see for yourselves how great they are!!”

“Christina was our DJ. She responded to our initial inquiry within two hours and sent a form to get to know us better. She mixed in every song we selected and MC'd all of the special events within the reception. Not only that, she understood the crowd and set a positive vibe so that everyone felt included. We had a mix of four cultures and three generations as guests for our wedding, and everyone had a great time. “November 2023-Wedding DJ & MC I had seen Larry and his team work at two other weddings, and his MC abilities and song choices sold me. Having him as our wedding DJ was a non-negotiable and he DID NOT disappoint. The team was wonderful to work with. They were organized, and well prepared. They communicated needs for set up and logging clearly and with plenty of notice. We got married in the country with no cell service or wifi and limited power options. None of this was a barrier for the Just fresh team. The sound at the ceremony was clear, the reception playlist was hit and the lighting was magical. I got multiple compliments from the guests on the song choices and everyone danced all night long. 5 stars. 10 out of 10 would recommend for any type of event! Thank you Just Fresh team!”

Ceviche worked with us to create a playlist that fit us. When we wanted a lot of control of the music, he gave it to us- when we wanted him to curate the music, he made the best playlist out there. Special props to Ceviche for suggesting a pre-dinner dance too- cant say how many of our friends have since emulated that move. She has a beautiful beautiful soulful voice that you can get lost in for days. Jackie was super flexible, shared her ideas and suggestions when I I didn't know what direction to go with songs ( wedding planning was stressful) but she made it easy to plan and make suggestions based on my song choices. I had her sing and play the piano for 3 different songs Father daughter dance, mother son dance, and cake cutting! Looking back, being someone who’s goal was to have more entertainment then speeches, id had her perform the whole time! “Hiring AMP was the all time BEST decision we could have made for our wedding! We had immediate comfort and trust in them from the first time we spoke, and the show they put on for our day was better than we ever could have imagined. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process of planning and had no problem with even the most far-fetched ideas (including my wife surprising me by getting up and playing the drums with the band). If we asked each and every person what their favorite part of our wedding was, hands down it was the music. Ana, Jimmy, and the rest of the band had everyone dancing the entire night without question. It was hit after hit after hit with the whole crowd! So many people rushed to us to ask how we got so lucky finding them. There was a thorough planning document provided which helped us break down the music we wanted to hear into sections of the day.
