“We had a great time working with Jamie! The planning process was a breeze thanks to his approachability and enthusiasm. He was super responsive via email and he addressed all our questions and offered advice for our ceremony songs. It was so fun discussing music with him too during the planning meeting—his knowledge of music is vast and from the get-go we knew we were going with a DJ who not only knew his stuff but also totally understood our music taste. He blended indie rock/folk and ’70s rock perfectly for the cocktail hour and dinner, and for dancing he stuck to a fun ’80s / new wave set list. He used vinyl throughout the night and threw in some fun surprises (we loved the Julee Cruise during dinner). He also put his own spin on some guest requests, like playing a double length version of Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” with an extended instrumental breakdown. “When my husband and I started planning our wedding two years ago, we agreed right away that we both wanted a live band for the reception - it was the most important thing for both of us, as we knew we wanted that kind of energy in the room. As we researched bands (mostly through wedding-themed websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot), we came across the Lucky Devils Band and saw all of their good reviews. There are a lot of other bands you can find in and around Los Angeles, but they had one really big advantage that most other bands didn’t - regularly scheduled showcases where you could see them perform live. LDB were actually the first band we seriously considered, but we still did our due diligence and looked into a lot of other bands. We said to each other - we can’t just book the first band we find! Well, we ended up doing just that, and it was the best decision we made! Not only do they make it easy for couples to come see them live, they are also talented, professional, and truly affordable. Mike Smirnoff, the musician/producer who was our main point of contact was super responsive, friendly, and remembered us from early on (we ended up attending a lot of their showcases because we just enjoyed hearing them live!). The small downside to the band is that because they are essentially a collective, you won’t necessarily know which musicians will be playing on the day of your event, however, Mike took into account all of our specific requests for certain members we saw at each of their showcases, and he secured everyone that we had wanted. We had a six-piece band, which included two versatile musician/singers (Andrew on guitar & vocals, and Jason on keyboard and vocals) so we got the most bang for our buck. Kaitlyn was amazing on vocals, and Mark was killer on sax, with Dimitri on bass and Mike himself on drums rounding out the band. We got SO many compliments from our guests all night long - including from his parents, who are VERY picky about music, and from other friends who are composers/musicians themselves. Our wedding was in March, right as the pandemic panic was kicking into high gear - and we were very stressed about the cancellations and our own fears, but when the music started playing, we forgot about all of it and danced until we couldn’t feel our feet. We highly recommend the Lucky Devils Band to all couples!! Get yourselves to a showcase and see for yourselves how great they are!!”

“Couldnt think of a better DJ for our wedding than DJ Ceviche. A consummate professional at every level who made our wedding fun and was so, so easy to work with. Ceviche worked with us to create a playlist that fit us. When we wanted a lot of control of the music, he gave it to us- when we wanted him to curate the music, he made the best playlist out there. “We're quite saddened by their google review, posted even before we had a chance to actually speak with them to clear up several serious inaccuracies. Our band has HUNDREDS of positive online reviews/satisfied wedding clients. And we'll always accept valid criticism. But this one is mostly false and unfair. As Zola does not provide the option for responding to negative reviews, the following are our comments: 1. Since the bride and groom hadn't hired a wedding planner everything was extremely disorganized as we received their timeline just one week prior to the event, but then they changed it twice more, including two days before. Despite asking for our bandleader's phone #, the groom never reached out to discuss any of these details. In other words, we were given minimal direction in regard to all of the last-minute changes. Even on the wedding day itself, our band was asked to set and reset their equipment multiple times because the bride and groom disagreed with the onsite coordinator's floor plan, moving/resetting the bride and groom table as well! 2. According to what the photographer told us, the bride and groom's limo driver was over 90 min. late, shifting the entire timeline and putting them in a bad mood from the very beginning, as noticed by our bandleader at around 5:15pm when he first introduced himself, prior to the band providing either live or recorded music. 3. Regarding the recorded music, it was only lacking for approx. 45 min. as the band discovered the phone battery issue at approx. 7:45pm, during their first break, quickly rectifying the situation by putting the phone on a charger and then continuing with the recorded music outside from approx. 8-10pm. Furthermore, they made up for it by keeping their system running for an extra 30 min., beyond our contracted time of 11pm. And those comments regarding the afterparty are also totally untrue as somebody from the band was manning the system, until a cousin of the bride or groom demanded that he use her playlist instead, and then she responded angrily when he finally turned off the system at 11:30pm. 4. As for the band's sound system, we do acknowledge some 'hum' issues as there was just one electrical outlet provided for the entire band, resulting in 'dirty power' which couldn't be fully corrected. And we deeply regret mispronouncing the various names as most were very unfamiliar and of Indian origin, despite our lining up the wedding party in advance and writing everything down phonetically. 5. Even though some of the client's emails mentioned solo keys during cocktails, we provided a duo, covering an extra 30 min. of recorded music from 4:30-5pm at no extra charge, as requested. While it's standard practice for a band to take a dinner break during an almost six hr. event, this was clearly-specified in our contract as well. And then we performed continuously from 8:30-10pm, including most of the requested songs that we had prepared well in advance. So their comments about seemingly just 'walking off a bus' are completely false and misleading. In other words, our musicians went 'above and beyond' in spite of some very challenging circumstances. 6. Fortunately, we did receive a 'happy reaction' with a crowded dance floor and TONS of compliments from the guests, some requesting pictures w/the band too, while even the bride and groom were singing along and dancing non-stop, which we were VERY happy to see, making their negative review even more surprising though!”

“Hiring AMP was the all time BEST decision we could have made for our wedding! We had immediate comfort and trust in them from the first time we spoke, and the show they put on for our day was better than we ever could have imagined. As a side, the week of the wedding I had a family emergency occur in my immediate family and we were contemplating possibly postponing. When I told Jordyn she was so empathetic and supportive and while I'm thrilled we went forward, I can't say enough about how much her response meant. I continue to get calls from people who attended about who they were and have made at least 2 referrals. I am hopeful to have the pleasure of using them again for future parties!”
