The Emerald Woods is a beautiful historic venue in Western North Carolina hosting weddings, small personal retreats and private gatherings. Your host, Lilly Bakken, purchased the property in August of 2020 and since then has renovated every room within the house and is now continuing to add to the landscaping with an abundance of flowering trees, hydrangea, dahlias and other perennials. It is currently being renovated and will have a climate-controlled banquet hall, catering kitchen, bridal suite, restrooms, and a covered open-air pavilion. Deerwoode Reserve is 175 acre nature preserve with cabin accommodations and on-site amenities. Explore the Bamboo Forest, walk over 5 miles of trails, kayak or canoe around the lake, and there's plenty of fishing options, or just relax on a hammock. The Coyote Lodge is a 4,000 cabin with a huge great room with soaring 2 story stone wood-burning fireplace. This space is great for a small ceremony up to 40 guests. The Coyote Lodge has 4 master suites with private bathrooms, and can sleep up to 18 people. Cabin accommodations include 11 cabins, ranging from studio units to 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom cabins.
