We are a very laid back team of husband and wife running his family's 6th generation family farm. We are rustic but also a charming, authentic Vermont experience. The barn can become incredibly elegant for a more formal affair but can also look just perfect with some simple, personal accents. Some of the great things that people love about our venue is our relaxed vibe, we are a BYOB facility and we allow any and all outside vendors. We can house up to 50 guests in the 4 houses that are available on our property. We also allow camping anywhere on the 350 acre property and we have an awesome "glamping site" available for rent as well. We are a weekend rental with the ability to add on days before and after the event to prepare and to relax after. We also have no curfews and encourage you and your guests to party in the barn or around the firepit all night long.

The Old Scott Barn truly is a venue like no other! Although the 1800s barn is fully restored, we made every effort to keep the original dairy barn features intact. The upstairs hay loft has a spectacular view of Signal Mountain which you will enjoy as you dance on the new wood floors beneath the old hay trolley above you. When you descend the wrap around stair case and enter the old milking parlor downstairs, you will see a stunning 30 foot live edge wood bar and new 20" wide pine flooring nestled in among the old cow stanchions and milking hardware. Kathy and John chased a dream to move to Vermont and start a farm, having had careers as science teachers in the Philadelphia area. Kathy had attended University of Vermont, fell in love with the state, and vowed to return one day. John left teaching to take his lifelong organic gardening passion to the next level. They looked at a number of farms across southern Vermont, and when they found the Farm at Williams River House, they knew they had found someplace really special – a front row view of Fox Chair Mountain, verdant green hayfields, timeless stone walls and split rail fences, and a stately home dating back to the time of our nation’s founding! They were home, and they wanted to share this magical and romantic space with others.

The historic Horse & Hound is a 12-bedroom lodge in the White Mountains that is perfect for an intimate micro-wedding or grand affair. Guests have easy access to some of the northeast's best hiking, and mountain and road biking. The lodge sits on a quiet country road two hours from Boston, Portland and Burlington, so your guests will have easy access to airport.
