I cannot say enough GREAT things about the Woodwinds and their crew! From touring with Vanessa to the planning with Randy and Michael, they all made the whole process SUPER easy! Vanessa really helped us with booking by spelling everything out, so it was so easy to understand. When you go on so many tours it can get so confusing, but they have it down to a science to keep it organized. Michael provided us with some tools to help with the planning. They had a way for us to organize our guests at tables and even had an event order where we just had to click and drag things in the order, we wanted them! Michael and Randy were always super prompt with our emails, even at weird hours of the night when we had to add one guest the day before our wedding. We had some pretty wild requests with some of our decorations (which they take care of setting up AND packing up at the end of the night) but they nailed it. We sent Michael a bunch of pictures and when we came for our rehearsal the day before our wedding Sergio was going through them to make sure every detail was perfect. Which leads me onto our day of crew...Sergio made our dreams come to life. He was there for every little thing we needed. We were ready to cut the cake, and when we turned around the photographer was set up, the DJ was playing the music we requested, and he had laid out the knife so that we had to smile and drop the knife onto the cake. He was flawless throughout the evening. We even had a bridal bestie who followed us around the entire night. It was a little cold, and she had a hand warmer for me! After dancing for a little and right before cake she came out with a mirror for us so we could make sure we looked great for pictures! She even made sure we ate and drank... You heard that right...WE ATE AT OUR WEDDING!!! The food was absolutely phenomenal. Michael recommended the Sunday Sauce, if they sold it in jars, we would buy it by the case! All the food was so good! We don't have a single negative thing to say about Woodwinds. Everyone there was so nice and pleasant to work with. Even when we called in payments, Kate at the main desk was super helpful and quick to respond. This is a team of true professionals, and we will be using them in the future!

Our wedding at The Riverview was an absolute dream! We simply could not have asked for a more perfect venue or location for our wedding reception. Riverview was the first venue we toured, and we had a remarkable experience meeting with Maureen and discussing the wedding of our dreams. We left there with two other local venues to tour, and made our way back to Riverview. The other venues simply could not compare or compete with what Riverview had to offer and the beautiful venue! We knew instantly that we were in good hands. Our wedding-coordinator, Kayla, was simply amazing. She was so attentive to detail and very responsive. She is so personable and friendly, and made it a true pleasure and joy to plan our wedding details with her. She made it such a seamless and smooth process, and everything happened so perfectly the day of our reception thanks to Kayla and the bridal team. Our two bridal attendants were very sweet and friendly, and always made sure that we had a drink in our hands and ate every food item that was served. The food was top notch and simply exceptional. We loved how our bridal attendants and Kayla stopped us at every point in the night when a new meal was served to ensure that we sat down and ate. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have eaten the entire evening as we were having so much fun. Our guests raved, and continue to rave, about how exceptional the food was. My husband and I got married at Swan Lake Caterers this past weekend. From start to finish, this has been the best experience of my life! The staff at Swan Lake was extremely knowledgeable, organized, accommodating and kind. Not to mention, this venue is more affordable than majority of the others on Long Island. To start, Sophia handled all things planning. She was extremely helpful and quick to answer all texts, calls, and emails (no matter the time of day). She always made us feel welcome and I literally referred to her as bestie on the day of lol. Next up, Charlie! He is the fabulous chef and creative mind behind all things food at Swan Lake. My fiancé and I actually chose Swan Lake because of their extensive vegan options— something that you will not find at other venues. Charlie helped us curate a perfect menu with options for all guests. From cocktail hour all the way through to dessert, we received so many compliments on the beyond delicious food. When we told Charlie we wanted something different for our dinner, he literally made us a tray of the most amazing vegan lasagna I’ve ever had! During dinner, he came out of the kitchen to speak to each table individually and offer them seconds, which many people took as the food was phenomenal. The only complaint I have about the food is that I can’t have it every day! When I came back to the venue following our wedding day, I literally asked if they had any leftovers from cocktail hour because it was THAT GOOD. Up next we have the amazing duo at Swan Lake who made our day run seamlessly— Elena and Mary. Elena was the maitre’d and she also does their decor package (beautifully if I may add), and Mary was my bridal attendant. Elena made sure everything flowed and took care of any issues that would arise or questions I had. Mary literally ran around with me the entire night, kept me fed and got me all the drinks I needed, and most importantly tried tailoring my dress 50x when the bustle kept failing. Elena and Mary were so kind and accommodating, by the end of the night I deemed them honorary aunties to my future children lol. Additionally, the waitstaff and bartenders were extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire night. Last but not least, you need to book with their preferred vendors, High Voltage Entertainment for DJ/MC and Capture the Moment for photography. Multiple people raved about how this was the best wedding they had ever been to and I think it is because of the amazing team at Swan Lake and their preferred vendors. If you don’t book here, you’re missing out! Trying to figure out what event I can have at Swan Lake next.

had my wedding at Essex Club on 12/1/23 and cannot stop wishing I was reliving my wedding day just as it was! Everything worked out perfectly and Essex Club played the biggest part in that. From the moment my now husband and I stepped into the venue about a year ago up until our wedding night, Jessica could not have been more helpful, honest, and easy to work with. She was always willing to answer my hundreds of questions and give me an honest opinion. My maitre d, Rob, was the absolute BEST! My husband and family agree. My bridal attendant, Anna, was right beside me any time my bustle was down or my drink was empty. My friends and family all echoed positive sentiment… the food was great, the decor was great, everything came together so beautifully. I can’t recommend the Essex Club and their staff enough. They made our wedding!

I had my wedding on 7/15/23 at Bourne Mansion and I don’t think I could say more glowing things about the entire experience. From the second we sat down the Miriam, we knew that this was the venue. She was beyond helpful and available for all of our questions big or small from the start. She had amazing suggestions and wonderful vendor choices. I don’t think our wedding would have been the same if we didn’t listen to almost everything she told us to do. Steve was also incredible from our meeting the week prior to the day of, he was right there for anything we needed and was like a drill sergeant making sure everything went on time which was much appreciated. There was a chance that there would have been rain which would have ruined our firework show and Steve made sure that the kitchen rushed the food out so we could get the show started before anything happened. All our guests have raved about the food and how there was enough to feed a small army. As anyone who gets married knows me and my husband weren’t able to indulge in everything but what we ate was AMAZING and I literally can’t stop thinking about the sushi. I could go on and on about how Miriam, Steve and the entire Bourne staff made our night incredible!! I highly recommend choosing Bourne for your wedding!

We had our daughter's wedding reception in October at the Patterson Club and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. From start to finish the entire experience was terrific. Lindsey and Louise were amazing! They made our daughter's dream wedding a reality by listening to our ideas and offering suggestions based on their extensive experience. They were personable, professional and super easy to work with. The end result was a flawlessly executed reception with outstanding food and service. They guided us through menu planning, including tastings of hors-d'oeuvres, entrees and wine selections-no worries about people leaving hungry as portions were generous. Our guests were so impressed with the quality of the food, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and the overall beauty of the venue. As the mother of the bride I am so grateful to The Patterson club for how easy they made the planning process for us; we were able to thoroughly enjoy the entire event without a worry, knowing all the details were being attended to. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Patterson club to anyone looking for a top notch wedding experience!

We were supposed to have an outdoor wedding but it rained and the management went over every detail about how they would make an indoor wedding for me (which they executed beautifully). All of my guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue is and the beautiful photo backdrop walls throughout the halls and bathrooms. We had over 200 people at the wedding reception and no one had to look for their waiter or wait long for drink refills. I love Zoli and his team at the Meadow Club. They are truly phenomenal.

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

The Wadsworth Mansion, a nineteenth-century Beaux Art style mansion, is the quintessential country estate. Graced by expansive lawns and surrounded by 103 acres of wooded parklands the Mansion reflects an era of grandeur and elegance. There are multiple locations for outdoor ceremonies and guests can enjoy cocktails and dance on the terrace under the stars. The Mansion can accommodate two hundred guests for a seated dinner reception and larger numbers for cocktail parties. Only one event is scheduled each day and couples can select from a list of approved caterers to create the wedding of their dreams.

My husband and I had our wedding here in December of 2023. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Mansion itself as a beautiful venue or the staff who work there as excellent people. We had a smaller group of 60 people and it felt like just the right amount of space in the winter. It seemed like each one of those 60 people came up to us throughout the course of the day and told us they'd never been to a nicer wedding. We worked very closely with Rachel for almost a year on planning the day. She answered every question we had and made sure that we were extremely comfortable throughout the whole planning process. Even though she wasn't able to attend the wedding itself due to medical reasons, she took such perfect notes and made sure everything was ready leading up to it, that another staff member Megan was able to step in and made it feel like she was the one we'd been working with the whole time. They were both so helpful and kind. We couldn't have had the perfect day we did without them. Once we walked into the Mansion the first time, we knew that was the place we had to be married. We will cherish our memories of that day forever and look forward to returning to the Mansion for their public events throughout the year and just simply walking the beautiful grounds and reminiscing.

Had our wedding on 5/20 and generally everything was good. Everyone raved about the food and how beautiful the venue is. And Shay was amazing. My issues mainly are with Charles, who in my opinion is phony, but maybe it’s just the experience I had? We met with Charles the Thursday before our wedding and went over everything. I left with a great feeling. I thought Charles was pretty animated but he seemed like he knew what he was doing. As part of our drop off - we had brought a memory candle to be used in our ceremony and separate champagne flutes to toast with: Charles said something along the lines of how nice it is to have the candle in the ceremony that normally it’s just on the credenza and asked permission to move the candle to the credenza in the hall after the ceremony, which I was pleased he even mentioned. Charles took the champagne flutes we brought out of the box/wrapping, inspected them, and then rewrapped them up. When walking into the venue for the drop off appointment, we saw a 60inch round in the entryway instead of a 6ft banquet table which I was so excited about because of the table cloth option for it - I asked Charles to switch this for us and he was like no problem consider it done. Fast forward to 5/20 - I am at the Waters Edge and I see the 6ft banquet table going to be put out. I quickly mentioned to Shay that I had requested the 60inch and they fixed, but annoying I had to catch this. Then I am lining up for my ceremony, my now husband already walked down the aisle, and I see the memorial candle - which is literally apart of our ceremony script - on the credenza. I obviously mentioned this and they fixed it but once again, very annoying. My biggest issue is related to our champagne flutes. After our first dance, we sit down at our table and see our champagne flutes aren’t there - I say something to Charles about this and he tells says “champagne flutes are being polished and will be right out”. Some time passed and Charles came by to our table and mentioned again the glasss are being polished and will be right out. Sounds great, until we are through our toasts and don’t have them. I didn’t see Charles anywhere and mentioned something to Shay. Who then comes back with an inventory sheet saying they were never brought. I obviously said that is not true and Charles held them in his hands in the lobby. After much time Shay comes back with the glasses and mentioned something showing she was frustrated with Charles. I’m pretty upset that I was being lied to for over an hour about the glasses. Don’t tell me something is being polished and is all good when something is lost. The worst part to me is that Charles never checked in/never come back to follow up on this and just pretended everything is okay. Charles never apologized or acknowledged this and the next and only other time I remember seeing him was for the cake cutting. A few other thing to note: There was a wedding earlier in the day on my date. And the valet refused to park my step dads car until they cleared this out. It was pouring rain and my step dad needed to come inside for portraits. I think the Waters Edge outsources this but make sure if there is any overlap this is considered in planning or mentioned. Communication with the Water’s Edge was also difficult. They are generally not accommodating so make sure you have anything you want in your contract.

We had known about the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat from growing up int he area, but never knew it could be a prime and BEAUTIFUL location for a wedding ceremony. Not only is the setting gorgeous and can accommodate a large group (We had 180), but the cocktail hour options are phenomenal and the who doesn't love a converted train car into an impeccable Bridal Suite?! All our guests loved being able to see all the trains and then the ride to The Lace Factory for the reception was possibly the highlight for a large majority of our guests! We are train people now!
