“We used Skylark music for our church ceremony and cocktail hour. We initially booked them pre-pandemic and they were luckily open for our new wedding date and were more than willing to accommodate. Their communication was stellar. I cannot say enough good things about their responsiveness and willing to help. My husband and I had a Catholic ceremony. Jesse was extremely helpful in providing us recommendations and telling us what would work well. On wedding day they showed up on time and played music as our guests were entering the church. They also were able to go to our venue afterwards to play for cocktail hour. As requested, Jesse and Justin played mainly jazz and added some Disney flare per our request. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed listening to Jesse and Justin during cocktail hour and how they added a nice ambiance. “The Music Boutique was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Scott was extremely helpful and responsive, and always providing us with great ideas, suggestions, and guidance to make our day special. We had a duo playing for our ceremony and during the cocktail hour and then we had a small 3 person band playing for our reception. And it was the perfect amount of people. We had spoken to some other bands and they all kept saying we need some big band for the reception, but since we were having less than 100 people at the wedding, we didn’t think it made sense to have like a 10 person band, it just seemed like it would overwhelm the whole wedding. And we knew we wanted a band component since my father plays guitar and I had a feeling would want to play a song at some point. Then we spoke with Scott, he seemed to understand our vision of having a small band. He loved the idea of my father playing a song, and made suggestions on when was the perfect time for him to play, and even laughed along with our idea of playing “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire, over and over again, since we were getting married on “the 21st night of September” (we did not do this)! The day of the band was amazing! They even took the time to learn our first dance song, which was a fairly unknown track, and played it beautifully, and surprised us with playing it. Since we thought it was just going to be a recorded version of the song. That was very special to us! And they were more than happy to let my dad play his song to us. Overall, the band's performance was lively and engaging, and they kept our guests dancing all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better band to help make our wedding celebration so memorable, and couldn’t have done it with Scott!”

He was always available and definitely helped to take some of the stress out of the planning process. “Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. “We had Emmet and Naomi for our indoor December wedding, the venue was a log cabin style lodge. They were a perfect match and we were so glad we chose them. They learned one of our favorite songs for the opening to our ceremony, playing a beautiful instrumental version of it. Our guests loved the music, that it was accessible for everyone, young and old alike. We had toddlers dancing in front of the band, but the guests seated closest to the band during dinner could still carry on a conversation easily. A lot of people really appreciated this, that they could add ambiance and energy without overpowering you. We especially want to thank them for traveling through the blizzard conditions to be there that weekend. We were hoping for a snowy winter wedding, and we got all the snow we could handle that weekend! “I can't say enough about these guys! I am so glad I hired them for our wedding at the Stone House last week - it was such a blast. DJ Pete was the BEST MC, he was just great, impeccable timing, communication and his positivity set the tone for the entire event. DJ Joe Rocco was equally great with reading the crowd - he had the dance floor packed all night, and we had a small wedding of about 75 people. “Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had. This was not a cookie cutter wedding band performance. This is a group of truly talented professional musicians putting on a real show. Our guests and even our vendors are still telling us today, months later, that this was the best wedding band that they’ve ever seen. Not only was her music absolutely beautiful, she helped us curate the song selection from the moment we hired her all the way to the days leading up to the wedding. When we weren't sure of song choices, she offered us a selection from various genres. I even asked Eilidh to learn a brand new song for when I walked down the aisle, and she overdelivered. “We can’t say enough about how amazing Andrea was to work with and how awesome our music was for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Andrea is quick to reply and follow up, thorough with her information, and flexible and willing to work with you on whatever you can dream up (Metallic to walk down the aisle-no problem!). The song list is so extensive that we had no problem finding what we wanted and actually had a hard time deciding because we had so many choices! The musicians were professional and delivered exactly what we wanted….and they sounded phenomenal! Our guests raved about the ceremony and cocktail hour music and had a blast trying to guess the songs (we had a lot of rock/pop music included) being played by the string quartet. Our only sadness is that we got pulled away during the cocktail hour for an emergency and didn’t get to hear more of their beautiful music or thank them personally.
