Home of the Athens YMCA from 1889 until 1919, the original building on this site became a music store, movie house, hotel, Masonic Temple, furniture company and Sears Roebuck store before being replaced by the Elite Theatre in 1935. Except for a brief period as a Methodist church, this theatre – later renamed the Georgia Theatre – has served as a significant performance venue for emerging and established musicians from Athens and beyond. Devastated by a fire on June 19th, 2009, this historic concert hall has been rebuilt as a labor of love with reverence for the creative spirit that Athens has long embraced. Built from the granite of Stone Mountain, 550 Trackside was established as a Cotton Warehouse in 1904. Over the years, it has been known as The Langley General Store, The Mercantile Exchange, A Feed and Seed Co., the Grinder and the Goldkist Building. Prior to opening in 2008, we renovated, restored, and designed the venue to be a space where people can gather, connect, celebrate, and create memories. The high ceilings of 100-year-old rough-hewn wood, archways, chandeliers, furnishings, and attention to detail, captures and maintains its turn of the century authenticity and charm.

Cottage 84 is our vintage inspired cottage style venue and estate that was built in 1925. The venue is still structured with the original pine walls and flooring and is filled with eclectic and gold, ornate vintage decor and furniture. The indoor dining and the reception area contains floor to ceiling stone fireplaces and our outdoor, covered reception space is equipped with a firestove and heater for those colder nights. The venue is on 1.5 acres of lighted ladscape including our boardwalk and 100 year old lighted pecan tree on our private back lawn area. Blending classic architecture with contemporary trimmings, this location is ideal for a chic and ravishing party. Plants have been chosen to ensure that there is something flowering in every season. A waterfall trickles into the Koi pond. Inside the traditional Georgian mansion is a gorgeous ballroom with square columns and tall windows for an airy, classic feel. The cuisine is provided by A Divine Event, Magic Moment’s catering division. Using fresh, seasonal ingredients, the chefs create heavenly dishes. In addition, they use local produce as much as they can, for quality you can trust. Magic Moment’s also offers decorations through their Design Studio. The Corry House is named after the Corry family that settled the land in the late 1700's. That same family built the house in 1869, and continues to own the land to this day, ten generations later. After meeting and marrying in Greenville in 1989, Drs. Bo and Ruby Cheves moved to Bo's family farm in Union Point, Georgia. Here, they began the work of remodeling the 150-year-old farmhouse and surrounding grounds. As their two kids grew older, Bo and Ruby decided to build a new house overlooking the Ogeechee River further back on the property in 2007. With the help of Erin and Stanton Porter, The Corry House held its first wedding in 2010. At that time, we didn't have our reception barn or the meadow and forest wedding sites. Folks got married in the garden or in front of the farmhouse. After a few years of weddings, Bo and Ruby decided to run with it and built our temperature-controlled barn in 2014.

Mountain Laurel Farm offers you an opportunity to host a “destination wedding” nestled on 21 acres overlooking the Chattahoochee National Forest. We specialize in intimate events of 100 guests or less and the opportunity to host up to 200 guests for cocktail styled events. The Atrium is hidden away in downtown, historic Norcross. A step off the sidewalk behind a vine-covered iron gate, a secret garden awaits discovery for the perfect spring and summer wedding venue. Each spring, full-grown lilac azaleas scent the air with their sweetness, followed by a shower of tiny white confederate jasmine blooms spilling over the gazebo's filigree dome. Summer brings daylilies, gardenias, and fluffy blossoms of mophead hydrangeas mixed in with repeat-blooming impatiens and hybrid roses.

The Court Street Livery is a restored barn in downtown Washington, Georgia. It is perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners and just about any event you can imagine. The big red barn has great details from the past including a soaring heart pine ceiling, brick walls, awesome lighting, a outdoor patio, and a huge open space with four wooden posts. You’ll have access to the barn for the whole day. You can take your time setting up because we rent the Livery for only one event each weekend and you may come in the day before for decorating and set-up at no extra cost. We're largely a “DIY” facility which can make our venue very budget friendly. You'll provide the ideas, decorations and set-up. The Livery is beautiful even with very few decorations. You will choose your own caterer/planner. The Livery has a full catering kitchen. We have a few tables but you'll need to rent additional equipment (chairs, tableware, sound system, etc.). There is ample free parking.
