I have a passion for hospitality, outstanding service, and changing the reputation of wedding food... it can be memorable and delicious! I have spent over 20 years in gourmet kitchens across the world. When I came to Texas in 2009 I fell in love with Southern cuisine. After many years in luxury hotels across DFW, in 2016 I created Tex-Med cuisine (modern Mediterranean with a Texan twist) which combines the food of my homeland with the flavors of Texas. My wife, Stephanie, and I opened Ferah Tex-Med Kitchen in 2019 and began offering catering services shortly after.

“Ferah Catering & Events provided exceptional service for our wedding day. Stephanie & Chef Burak was a delight to work with - professional, responsive, and attentive to all our needs. Chef Burak went above and beyond, customizing a fusion menu that artfully incorporated both my husband's African American heritage and my Vietnamese background. He also thoughtfully created special meals for our young guests and vegan friends. The food was simply sublime - 5-star dining with exquisite, fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Stephanie and Chef Burak made sure we were well-fed and cared for throughout the celebrations - from cocktail hour bites delivered to our bridal suite, to perfectly plated dinner courses for the bride & groom (we hosted a buffet style) to keeping our drinks refreshed. They also offered cake cutting services and toile care of cleaning up after dinner. We had plenty of left overs that was delicious the day after. Our guests made sure to tell us “this is the best wedding food we’ve had in a while!” We couldn't recommend Ferah more highly for making our wedding meal so special and memorable.”

My Husband ended up asking for a to go plate. Chef Mbosiem were awesome to work with and were diligent in making sure the guests were being cared for. Could not have asked for a nicer evening and plan to use her again for my baby shower.”

On the day of our wedding, they were attentive to our needs and served fresh food. The food table was organized and efficient. The fruits, veggies, rice and hummus were all delicious. The chicken was unfortunately dry. I do wish that we had asked for additional condiments such as hot sauce. Overall, Unique Party planners did a great job in helping us stay within budget and keeping everyone full! Thank you.”
