  • Serves New York, NY

A wedding is not just an event or about arranging flowers and picking linen. It is your unique statement. You deserve the day of your dreams at a price you can afford and without extra stress. We are dedicated and passionate about curating your unforgettable experiences. We offer a wide range of wedding decorations, designs and flower services. Whether planning an intimate wedding, or a bold and exciting Indian wedding, we are here to help bring your vision to life.

Sumeet and his team at Kolinda Kreations were a dream to work with. They did all our flowers, and decorations. I received so many compliments all evening. From the first phone call to the very end, they took care of everything and brought our vision to life. We loved them from the first phone call. They decorated and provided flowers for both our Sangeet night and our American Ceremony and reception, capturing our multicultural wedding. Both events were stunning and elegant. We had a great wedding, and never once worried about set up, tear down, or how it would look. Everything was perfect. I will absolutely use them again for any future floral needs.

Something Borrowed Blooms

4.8

Lafayette, LA
  • Starts at $250
  • Serves New York, NY

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

So affordable, lots of options, and I didn’t have to dye/build bouquets myself. I’m thankful for them. A few boutonnières looked a little worse for wear, but we were happy nonetheless!

A Lily Among Thorns

5.0

New York, NY
  • Starts at $6,000

A Lily Among Thorns is a floral design studio in Northern New Jersey. Isabel’s love for flowers stemmed from a young age, as she was often found picking wild flowers barefoot. After receiving her bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, her second love, she found that there was even more poetry to be found in the flowers she had always loved. Now, she works in wedding and event floral design with a limited amount of couples a year.

Awarded Best of Zola
Isabel is an incredible florist and person - we could not recommend her more! From start to finish, working with Isabel was a joy and she brought so much positive energy to every conversation we had. Even at the proposal stage, her materials were super polished and she was so kind in taking time to explain her process and listen to what I was looking for. The level of collaboration throughout the planning process was a dream, it seemed like no question was too small and no ask was too big. It was so nice to have a creative partner like Isabel and she helped us find solutions that worked within our budget and style preferences. I felt super heard and Isabel always had our best interests at heart when guiding us through decisions. And on our big day everything was so beautifully put together, and Isabel was even flexible enough to accommodate some last minute changes to the weather plan. We are so so happy with how Isabel helped create the most beautiful mood and florals for our wedding!

Petal Design Studio

5.0

New York, NY

I started Petal Design Studio in 2006, making the decision to turn a lifelong love of flowers and nature into a career. I am always excited by the challenges and opportunities that each new client brings. For me, an intimate wedding dinner for 20 or a blow-out bash for 300 inspire the same attention to detail and creative expression needed to make an event that is both memorable and delightful.

Corrie is one of the best designers in NYC! It might seem hard to mess up an arrangement of gorgeous, fresh blooms—until you actually try it. There is true skill in floral design, and Petal Design has turned it into an art form. In all the special events where we partner and she pairs our rental furniture —and every other special day on the calendar— she makes the dream & vision all happen seamless with a smile.

Hey there, I’m Cristina! A lifelong lover of nature, I always knew I loved working with my hands. Working with flowers and creating an atmosphere for an event is something I get excited about. I’m obsessed with details and exploring new techniques, methods and combinations. I love exceeding expectations and showing people how fun floral design can be.

Cristina is so talented and lovely to work with. She made the most beautiful Lily of the Valley bouquet for my elopement (in October!!) and several beautiful centerpieces for our small dining celebration. Looking at photos of the flowers she designed and put together for us makes me feel so many emotions! I didn’t even give her many parameters, I just trusted her and she exceeded our expectations. The florals were simply stunning. I will be recommending her to all of my NY based friends for their weddings.

We are event architects and have been producing events worldwide since 2003 with offices in New York and California. Alongside our planning and production teams, our in-house design team creates everything from high-level design concepts: custom bars, lighting and staging, complex build-outs, and floral installations. This is more than just one day of celebration - it is a journey from start to finish. From the moment a guest receives the first form of communication to when the last person departs, producing an event is about the entire experience.

As the wedding photographer you really get to see it all - Lyndsey and her team consistently put on creative and beautiful events that run seamlessly. She's seen it all and nothing that comes up on a wedding day fazes her, the bride and her family always have the biggest smiles on their faces and just get to enjoy themselves and celebrate. Her team is a mix of creatives and type A personalities that get things done perfectly, everything runs on time. I'm always happy because I get to photograph unique/new concepts that I've never seen before, like a custom round bar or hand-painted details. Highly, highly recommend LHE.

About wedding florists in New York, NY

What's the average price range for florists in New York, NY?

There are a number of different factors that influence the total cost of a wedding floral package, including the type of flowers you're using, the size of your bridal party, and amount of floral decorative elements at your wedding (don't forget gorgeous extras like ceremony arches). In New York, NY, bouquets range from $100 to $1,400. Centerpieces typically range from $100 to $1,500. The minimum price for florists often takes into account the amount of effort and time required to pull together the creations.

Which are the most popular florists in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular florists in this area include Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers, The Faux Bouquets and Something Borrowed Blooms.

What questions should I ask when booking a wedding florist?

Florists offer a range of different services that you'll want to ask about before you book. For example:

            • Do they offer rentals of structures and additional decor?
            • Can they create mockups or sample arrangements?
            • Will they assist with flower preservation if that's something you're interested in?
            • Is breakdown/cleanup included in the package?
            • How far in advance should I book a florist in New York City?

In the hustle and bustle of New York City, timing is everything—even when it comes to locking down those petal-perfect arrangements. The truth is, the earlier, the better. Aim to find your florist at least 9-10 months before your wedding date, especially if you're eyeing a sought-after florist or if you're getting married during peak wedding season. This gives you ample time to work with them on how to bring your creative vision to life.

What seasonal flowers are available for weddings in NYC?

Here's a little pro tip: embracing in-season flowers not only captures the mood of the moment, but could also be a savvy move for your budget! Chat with your florist about what's blossoming around your big day—they'll help bring your floral visions to life without the additional markup on imported blooms. So, ready to let the seasons be your guide? Spring struts in with sweet tulips and fragrant hyacinths, while summer boasts hydrangeas and cheerful sunflowers. Rich dahlias and amber-hued calla lilies peak in fall, and elegant amaryllis and romantic red roses will brighten up the coziest winter wedding.

What happens to flowers after the wedding in NYC?

Your wedding flowers helped make your day magical. But what happens to them when you and your crew head to the after party? If you want to do more than just offer them to your guests to take home, there are many NYC based organizations that can help you donate leftover flowers to local nursing homes, hospitals, and more, so some of the joy of your day can live on.

Do florists in NYC rent out decorative items like vases and arches?

Absolutely, most of NYC's florists are not only about petals and stems. Think of them as the set decorators for your big day, offering a beautiful selection of vases, arches, candles and other décor extras that bring your vision to life. Gorgeous glassware to show off those long-stemmed roses? Check! Majestic arches that turn your aisle into a fairytale gateway? You bet. And here's the cherry on top: it's often more budget-friendly and definitely kinder to the planet to rent from your florist rather than buying stuff you'll use just once. So, if you're looking to create an enchanting atmosphere without the clutter of "what do I do with this now?" after the big day, talk to your florist about rental options. They'll have you covered with items that complement your blooms and elevate your venue from "oh" to "oh, wow."
