Hi! My name is Tiffany Rivers, owner of Rivers Event Planning. I have been in the hospitality industry for 15 years. My journey started in culinary school as a young adult and then as an Event Banquet Captain for various catering companies on the Central Coast. My love for serving others lead me to receive a degree in Hospitality Management! I then worked as an Event Coordinator for a private school in San Luis Obispo. 5 years later I decided to start my own company as a Special Event Planner and the rest is history!

I grew up on California's Central Coast and obtained a minor in Photography from Cal Poly SLO. My love for photography started in high school and has always been my sole aspiration. As a photographer, I understand that photos hold cherished memories that last a lifetime. Weddings have been a part of my life since I was six years old. Growing up as the youngest of eight cousins, someone was always getting married. The summer of my 21st birthday, I started my career with weddings at an Alaskan lodge hosting ten weddings that first summer. Since then I've worked in floral design, photography, & the food/wine industries. In 2017, I toured California working event logistics at five different festivals, including Coachella.

I am a lifetime Central Coast resident, born and raised in Templeton. I have spent most of my career in the hospitality industry. It wasn't until I started a job in catering management that I realized I had a passion for weddings. I continued doing catering management for 2 years, and then I started assisting all of my favorite wedding planners for 2 years. Most recently I landed job in Venue management and that is when I knew I wanted my own wedding planning business. In my free time I love to go hiking, lift weights and spend time with my family, including our 4 rescue pups. I look forward to meeting you!

I've been working in the beauty industry over 21 years. My career began after earning a cosmetology license, at the age of 19. This is when I began working for prestigious cosmetic companies such as Chanel, Estee Lauder, and MAC. I received training from leading people in the makeup industry, along with assisting and working along side celebrity makeup artists. Roles I've held during my career include working as a freelance makeup artist, cosmetic retail manager, cosmetic business manager, and makeup trainer.

My love for makeup started young, inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, iconic female muses from art, film, and the bold beauty of music videos. I wanted to feel beautiful and empowered, and that passion grew into a career where I now help others feel the same. After 21 years in San Francisco, Portland, and Denver, I’ve made my home on the gorgeous Central Coast in San Luis Obispo. As a self-taught makeup artist and licensed esthetician, I’m excited to be part of this amazing beauty and wedding community, helping my brides and clients feel like the best version of themselves for their special day
