The Port Watson Mini-Conference Center is the premier venue for gatherings in the Cortland area. Located just minutes from historic downtown Cortland this family-owned business is centrally located between Syracuse, Ithaca, and Binghamton. Three indoor event spaces are available for rent, suitable to host anything from small intimate gatherings to large weddings of up to 100 guests. Our newest addition, the pavilion, is our outdoor venue perfect for weddings looking to take advantage of the warmer weather. The Paleontological Research Institution’s Museum of the Earth was established in 2003 to provide the general public with a unique opportunity to explore our world through a mix of natural history displays, interactive science features, and art exhibitions. The museum’s 8,000-square-foot permanent exhibition takes visitors on a journey through 4.5 billion years of history, from the Earth’s origin to the present day. Through hands-on, visual exhibitions and outreach, the Museum of the Earth encourages critical thinking about life on Earth in the past and today, and how our species is affecting the natural world.

The North Farm is a large, recently renovated wedding event venue located in Geneva, New York. Consisting of repurposed 19th century dairy barns, a large courtyard and a manicured ceremony location with gorgeous lake views, this venue is perfect for rustic wedding couples who are looking for something truly unique. With six different gathering spaces available, you’ll have an environment that is centered around sustainability and flexibility, allowing you to create a completely customized and memorable experience that you’ll cherish for a lifetime. The Brewster Inn is a fine dining establishment with several different dining rooms to accommodate both small and large parties. We are able to host private functions ranging from 20 – 50 people and wedding receptions up to 180 people. We also have 17 beautifully appointed guest rooms, five of which have breath-taking views of the lake. Our brick terrace with a seasonal awning overlooks the spacious lawn down to the lakefront and is a perfect setting for dining and dancing. For your convenience we have created two wedding options – sit down and food stations, each of which is based on a four-hour reception. In-season, weddings are held primarily on Saturdays. We offer afternoon weddings from 1-5pm. There are some exceptions during the off-season for smaller more intimate receptions.
