We were lead to an aging, almost forgotten piece of our past. The old Cotton Depot in Clinton SC quietly sat on the edge of downtown. The building spoke to us, 17,000 square feet of handmade brick each telling a story, 11ft ceilings with exposed beams, arched windows and wide planked floors. We immediately began designing the space. Through our catering experience we knew the need for easy access, a good flow and having conveniently located facilities. We also knew the importance of having multifunctioning spaces that can be dressed up or down to make each event uniquely yours. DuGaren Venues & Vineyards is a family owned business located in Denver, NC. The total square footage of the Venue is 10,000 square feet. There are so many unique elements of the Venue such as the large Winery space entrance doors that were obtained from an old home in Savannah GA, and the free standing fireplace at the Pavilion that was from the original home built on the land back in the 1800's. ​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality.
