Highline aims to shatter the stuffy perception of classical music by emphasizing the audience experience. The group performs both classical music as well as original arrangements of popular non-classical songs by our very own in-house composer. Why We’re Unique - Highline String Quartet is a project of the Highline Chamber Ensemble, a group of passionate musicians who host ticketed events in NYC at non traditional concert venues such as lofts, art galleries, and studios. Highline is a regular performer at venues such as Joe’s Pub, SubCulture, and the Manderley Bar at Sleep No More.

The Sugartone Brass Band has been playing private events since 2002. Our first private event was a Christmas Party thrown for the workers of a warehouse owned by a family of Hasidic Jews in Brooklyn. We are a 5-member brass ensemble specializing in wedding Ceremonies & Cocktail Hours. We charge $400 for the Ceremony and $400 for Cocktail Hour, and if $600 for both. For ceremonies we play classical music and for cocktail hour we play jazz, but of course we will do whatever the Bride & Groom want! This includes Pop, Latin, Broadway or any combination of the above.
