Constructed in 1871 by Bavarian immigrant Philip H. Zorn Jr., Barrelhouse The Venue resides on the historic Zorn campus. As an annex to the brewery, Barrelhouse The Venue would manufacture beer barrels to house fresh beer prior to distribution around Northwest Indiana. Though unoccupied now, the original ice-house, brew-house, and malting building still stand across the street, a reminder of the dream Philip Zorn brought with him to America.

Established in 1977, Matterhorn has become one of Elkhart’s most treasured and long-standing venues. The helpful staff can easily join the East, Oak, and West Rooms into a combination that best suits the desired needs and capacity. The Old Winery is nestled in the huge wine cellars of the Lawton Lions Heritage Community Center in the village of Lawton. The center itself is a unique architectural structure of cobblestone, located in the heart of the “Fruit Belt” of southwest Michigan. the 1903 structure, a state and national historic site, is the state’s oldest standing winery building which make is an appropriate setting for the museum.
